Congrats to metricsystemlove, kmhebert and JeopardyTempest, who are the latest players to punch tickets for the semifinals. JeopardyTempest takes over the No. 1 qualifier spot for now...although there are some big #s still in the active boards.

I have two games for this tournament that I an unable to make moves in due to a never ending "log processing" message. I will be missing turns in 12 hours. Can this games be restarted/remade if the problem is not fixed? I will be gone rest of the day due to school and children's Bball games. Last night and this morning were my only chances to move.

Reptile wins 2 of 2 so far. So just needs Adam666 to lose 2 of his three. looks like that will happen. I think this would be enough for me to advance

All right...we've punched three more tickets for the semifinals with harvmax claiming the Game 13 board with a $34,410 score that puts him as the #2 seed right now. Also advancing are deantursx on the Game 4 board and reptile on the Game 7 board.
We're close to a winner on Board #16 and are nearing Final Jeopardy rounds for Boards 5 & 8.
I'm hoping to get at least a portion of the semifinals started up this weekend.

yes, i enjoyed my group very much, shoop, adam and lufsen were all fun opponents. shoop lead most of the time and adam led by a significant margin in the last stretch. final jeopardy allowed me to take the game board though.

Looks like highly contested game 16 will come down to the wagers as azak848 and I appear to have answered final jeopardy correctly with pre FJ leader Fewnix going 0-3. Was a spirited series of games all around and was a lot of fun playing with azak848, Fewnix and danervin regardless of who's moving onto the semis.

yes, in fact, plash was right. It came down to the wager in the Game 16 board that was the closest of all of them in round one. plash risked it all in Final Jeopardy and it paid off giving him a spot in the semis.
2 spots remaining to be filled.

That said...I'm announcing a slight tweak to Final Jeopardy for the semifinals and championship board.
It will still involve a round-robin of 1 vs. 1 maps, but will also include a multi-player (4-person) map.
Scoring will be as follows...
• 1 vs. 1 win = 2.5 points per win (7.5 total if you win all 3)
• 1st in multi-player = 5 pts
• 2nd in multi-player = 3 pts
• 3rd in multi-player = 2 pts
• 4th in multi-player = 0 pts
* if players are eliminated in the same round, then points will be divided equally for those spots. Example...the 2nd and 3rd place players are both taken out in round 12...then those points would be added (5 pts) and divided between the two players giving them 2.5 each.
For the Final Jeopardy wager...players that total 7 points or more get their wager added; below 7 and it's deducted.
Here's the basic breakdown on how to get your wager counted...
• Win the multi-player and one of the 1 vs. 1s
• Finish 2nd or 3rd on the multi map and you must win two of the 1 vs. 1s
• Finish last on the multi map and you must sweep all three 1 vs. 1s.
Two reasons for the change...the multi-maps play a big role on the main boards, so I figured they should be included in Final Jeopardy, too. Also, this opens up greater possibilities for the final wagering.
thanks all, flex
