I've reviewed the XML and found 2 errors - lack of a neutral on Nord-Est and lack of a neutral on Guantanamo Bay, which I have fixed. I've also added a neutral 3 on Montego Bay to remedy the issue with Jamaica's being to easy to conquer and hold.

Awesome. That concludes any issues I have found so far. Otherwise, great map guys!

What does 'with this operation' mean?

Top right description box."Additional Plus 2 for every two us ships with this operation"...that doesn't make sense to me.
+1 for each us missle base and this operation...what is this mysterious operation

I haven't actually played this map are there territories in the top right in this box? i see the arrows point to it...do u move up the 'operations' then hit the phone?

Not sure if this has been posted yet, but there is a problem with an attack route.

2012-01-27 08:38:51 - morleyjoe assaulted Mobile from USS Belle Grove and conquered it from rmjw10

According to the map, I should not have been able to attack Mobile from the Belle Grove.

Please review Game 10501617 to see problem.

Otherwise, a nice looking map. Well done =D>

Yep, the large and small versions are quite different, not only graphically, but also by different connections (Belle Grove -> Pensacola/Mobile) and Soviet invasion crafts. The XML is written acc to the small version.

You need to upload different image for the large version, or alternatively the XML has to be rewritten and a different small map should be uploaded.

Since I'm in a tournament with this map, it would be nice to have them both the same ;)

Yeah, the issue of tournaments in early BETA phases... It's good if you want to learn the map and help to test it, not if you want to play on a nicely balanced, fair and perfectly-working map!

Check the supersize in post 1. I think that's right now.

Yep, looks like it - the one without numbers, that is.
Could you remove that random arrow between Provomyy and Ognevoy?

Also, although this is a cosmetic change and I don't want to be too annoying about it, could you align a couple of graphic elements in the small version with the supersize version?

-> shapes of connections between ships
-> shapes of arrows to American landing crafts, incl. the position of crafts
-> American rockets graphics (?)
-> Provomyy ship design
-> American eagle symbol (?)

These maps, I think, should aim to be identical - unless a change is necessitated by the size (as in the Kremlin & US signs in the government).

This is seriously going to be one of my favourite maps. Love it. =D>

I just discovered another issue, which may or may not be a bug.
-> Domestic Nuclear Base Control gives +1 bonus for all US missile bases, incl. Guantanamo. (fine)
-> Cuba Nuclear Base Control gives +1 bonus for all "Cuban" missile bases. Does this mean to include Guantanamo Bay? I presume not, but XML does. This therefore should be corrected in the XML code.
-> Bay of Pigs Invasion Authorisation also offers bonuses to all "Cuban" missile bases. XML, again, incudes Guantanamo Bay, but here it makes sense, because the bonus gives +7 for holding all 5 bases (i.e. 4 Soviet + 1 Guantanamo).

I guess, unless you want to tweak bonuses for the Bay of Pigs Invasion Authorisation, that Cuba Nuclear Base control should be renamed "Soviet Nuclear Base Control" and give bonus for each "Soviet" missile base; while BoP Invasion would give bonuses for "2 missile bases on Cuba". Would that make sense? This would amount to some changes in graphics, renaming in XML, and changing only the bonus region for Soviet Nuclear Base Control not to include Guantanamo.

Great map. I don't think the ship bonus is calculating correctly; when i hold 6 or 9 US ships (including 2 landing craft), i am not getting the extra bonus.

Game 10508662 In the game I'm in the ship bonus is calculating correctly. And there are only 7 US ships I don't think the landing craft count unless you hold that thing in the top right too

The small map shows MQ6 bordering Guantanamo Bay, but the large map shows it bordering Holguin.

Jippd is correct, melech.

XML says Guantanamo Bay. Which is correct, Ace?

What if we reduced the HQs to 1 neutral and the operations to 3?

The map was updated with the latest images althoughit seems that a new update is necessary. I've already sent a PM to Ace Rimmer about it.

Okay. I noticed I need to adjust some coordinates as well. Didn't think about that before with the new graphics. I'll work on it.

Right now it's a little foggy in Florida! Can you take a screen shot and post it here please?

The code looks good. Make sure you have all of the following regions:

Code: Select all

<continent>
   <name>Florida</name>
   <bonus>4</bonus>
   <components>
      <territory>Pensacola</territory>
      <territory>Panama City</territory>
      <territory>Tallahassee</territory>
      <territory>Jacksonville</territory>
      <territory>Pasco Air Base (U.S. Air Force Base)</territory>
      <territory>Orlando</territory>
      <territory>Tampa</territory>
      <territory>Nike Missile Site HM-69 (U.S. Missile Base)</territory>
   </components>
</continent>

Has anyone taken White House or Kremlin? I haven't played this map on standard or terminator, so I am not sure if anyone has taken them there to any effect.
