No reason Ruben, but perhaps I should add it and take something else away... I wouldn't want to leave it out - & thanks all for the compliments. I also think I like the black text better. Also, other than the title I've been using, I like #6 the best.

Do you need an excuse to have a war? I mean, who for? Can't you just say "You got lots of cash and land, but I've got a big sword, so divy up right now, chop chop."

Yes. Also, the black text was much better.

My vote for the fonts, either 7, 5, or 6

Bridge looks enough like a pier, so I just used the same graphic. Back when I did it, enough people accepted it so I thought it was a done deal. Some maps just have a dotted line coming off the land... I thought this looked a little better.

font 6 definitely.

I do like white in some continents, though not in all.
The overall look was better in black.

EDIT: Re-posted map with the Torino Region shaded darker orange.

1) Revised some borders again
2) Added Milano
3) Removed Trieste
4) Added Impassable Water to legend
5) Made names black with very slight outer glow to make more legible
6) Adjusted capital city colors
7) Changed Map Title Font "Italia"

I'm getting a little bored with tweeking this map. Can we get into final forge soon?

the slight glow worked wonders with the text.
looks like somehow torino was missed, but otherwise looks beautiful :)

Nope it's there, just the jpeg doesn't show too well on the orange background already. My final png map file will be a bit higher resolution, but the main goal of the outer glow was too be able to read the names if they are sticking out over a black border.

Thanks guys.

EDIT:
I see what you mean. I missed shading Torino the darker orange as it's the bonus city. I'll revise & repost the image in a few minutes.

this is a great map...it looks very nice visually.....Can u make it a World War 2 map...Then you could add Malta :)

Malta was a key in the Alllies victory in World War 2 and actuallty won the geogre cross. The only time in Military History that a country has won this Award.

Malta was used to spearhead the invasion of sciliy and then Italy!!

Just a thought.....But would make the map alot more interesting :)

There's already a malta map currently in creation - by the talented & gifted Ruben Cassar.

Anyway - I think this has come to far to revise the whole thing. Thanks for the feedback.

It's looking great. I don't know why it's not in final forge already in fact.

I notice you added Milano and that's great. I would have liked to see it as a bonus city as it is a very important city for Italy but seeing that it is so close to Torino and that the North East region has already got Venezia as a bonus city I understand that this was not possible. So quench it I say!

Strange but true. I read it as well. I just remember that most of the things he was suggesting might have been difficult to implement in the map, but now the post has vanished in thin air...maybe it's the CC ghost having a go at it again! :)

Map truly looks awesome cant wait till its up to play on! (I challenge ya!)

Really only possible flaw, and this is EXTREMELY minor (almost not worth mentioning) is because of the slant of the map, north is actually to the left, which makes it kinda confusing when you have est and ovest (east and west) as part of the names of provinces. um... it doesn't matter though.

good stuff man!
