Twice a day, from what he tells me..

Though I expect he may be lying....you know, typical smack rat liar..

Oh that's why. I know people who have gone their whole lives (they treat it the same way Europeans treat alcohol) and they are perfectly sane and successful

I understand, and even pointed this fact out..but there are some people who are susceptible to extremely negative effects, as bad as psychosis and the like...

That is also a fact.

Me too. I haven't smoked pot for four years now.
Something about that forbidden fruit... :)

True, it depends on the genes. I know people who have a family history of schizophrenia (I definitely misspelled that) are much more likely to have breakdowns if they are doing drugs recreationally.

There was a point where I smoked it day in day out for 2 years.....It had a really detrimentel effect on me, I don't think dope smoking and a busy brain go very well together.

I guess I am one of the few people who would be at risk of developing a mental illness IfI had continued to smoke it.

It really depends on the person as to what the long term affects of gettin stoned are. I smoke daily, have a functioning life and family, am a college graduate with two degrees, work in a professional field and have an I.Q. that's considered more then adequate.

However I do know people who's lives it has ruined. It's just something with the personality and the reason you smoke and how you smoke I think

I agree with Norse that certain people will be far more affected by drugs than others and the longer they partake the worse the end result might be. Really no different from Alcohol, fast food or anything else that in excess can screw the body or mind . Remember the old adage that religion is the Opium of the masses well that also rings true, absolutely fine for many people but a toxic mix for a few.

Precisley!

One of my mothers co-workers had a terrible story..

Her son, who was a bright lad, began smoking, and very soon after had to be put into a mental home...He couldn't look at himself in the mirror, he'd always flip out and start destroying stuff...

But I suppose you would need a pre-disposition for that to occur. I suppose alot of kids when they first start smoking do it in a group, and it is fun, and something they do socially. But it is when those kids start smoking it alone in their bedrooms, or smoking it to "forget" that problems may start to occur...You would need to be a very well balanced indivdual to stay straight in them circumstances, and your average teenager or early 20's are not known for their composure and level-headedness...

You think that was because of pot? Some people react to some things in the weirdest ways. I heard about a guy who would flip out when surrounded by bleach.

Well, from what I gathered, it sounded as though smoking dope was a catalyst to this reaction..

I mean, of course there would have been underlying issues, but it certainly did not "calm" him, or "chill him out"...in fact the opposite.

I don't know ACT: Is that good?

I know a kid who took speed on the SAT and did incredibly well, meaning over 2000.

they ACT, the highest score is 36. I got a 28 sober (obv) and I would be lucky to get a 30

I took an animal behavior test when I was high and got the best grade in the class.
