Firstly this is a brilliant piece of work and should be stickied!

But the new categories aren't really working IMO - too many inconsistencies and I think we'd be better off with one long list covering all maps from most games down to least.

At the moment you have to jump all over the place to see what order of popularity the maps are and I don't think the categories add value and they seem arbitrary:

e.g. Why is Benelux in countries not regions when it is a region of 3 countries added together? Vice versa Iberia is list as a region, but is just 2 countries. Valley of the Kings isn't really a region, it's a complex of tombs near Luxor, etc etc.

my error...should be a region.

Vice versa Iberia is list as a region, but is just 2 countries.
therefore it doesn't qualify as a country coz its two, and it doesn't qualify as a continent, therefore must be a region in this list.

Valley of the Kings isn't really a region, it's a complex of tombs near Luxor, etc etc.

and doesn't that also make it a region.
Region is defined in dictionary.com as
"7. an area of interest, activity, pursuit, etc.; field: studies in the region of logic."
therofore in my books that makes it a region...it is an area of interest.

Cairns have you considered setting up a subscription for this? Whenever you create a new one you can mass PM it to anyone who subscribed? Like how the tounement newletter is done. Just a thought.
What do you know about map making, bitch?

Feudal is very poplar map... in my big 1v1 league it's the only map that can compete with Classic ;) Be proud of it :D

I dont think Iraq should listed under country, because its not really classic game-play. It would be better under wars or something.

I think conquest maps (feudal, realm, new worlds) should have their own section in the caterogy stats.

I think cairnswk made a mistake.

San Francisco

16416 is the correct last update stat

but when I do a search for San Fran games (active, waiting and finished) I get 16870 results

D-Day

7070 is correct, but 7319 is the current number of games not 9310
