It is premature to discuss Trump's likely VP choice since Trump has yet to show the he WILL be the nominee.
As I have said often and previously, Trump has pissed off TOO MANY to make himself ELECTABLE in the General Election in 2024, despite his FALSE claims of election fraud. Trump may be the nominee of the GOP, but cannot win the General Election, not with 30-40% who WILL NOT vote for him and at least 10% Likely NOT to vote for him.

Who should President Trump select as Vice-President for the 2024-2028 term?
I'm leaning to Vivek Ramaswamy, however, he hasn't renounced Hinduism yet and doesn't have much time. Then again, we've now had two Catholic presidents, so I guess anything is possible. Politico says he's angling for the White House.
There's also Josh Hawley who is famously well-endowed.
With Tom Cotton you get a military hero, however, his long neck is off-putting to some people.
Daniel Cameron played collegiate football which is a plus but making the jump from Attorney General of Kentucky to Vice President seems like a big leap.
MTG would be a disaster. If we're handing a box of dynamite to Trump, someone not quite as excitable needs to hold the detonator.
Others?

FEINSTEIN REMOVED FROM OFFICE!
97 year-old California Senator Dianne Feinstein's staff, who have been patiently waiting for her to die, finally got tired and put out a statement announcing she'd retired -
Hours later, when asked about her retirement by reporters, she said she wasn't aware she had retired and no one had told her. A staff member then leaned in and politely told her she was now retired and would be leaving the Senate in 2024. She sadly nodded and said "I should have known" before the staff member wheeled her away.
Just a typical Wednesday in the party of youth and progress.

I don't think Trump plans to go talk in Ohio, because a bunch of reporters will ask him why he rescinded the rule put in place during Obama that required trains carrying hazardous flammable materials to have ECP brakes which could have prevented this disaster.
It's not a great look for Trump, this is all his fault and it's his own voters he's poisoned.

Also, the British invented trains so no chance King Charles will go either. Would be a bad look.
Biden has supposedly been president for more than two years. Why didn't he reinstate the rule if it was so critical? Did he agree with Trump or is he incompetent? I'm having a hard time imagining what other possibilities exist.

Can you point to anything to back this up? I ask as a genuine question not from an adversarial perspective. All the articles I've found so far that mention ECP in the context of this event are not saying that ECP would have prevented it from happening. I see politicians making the claim to score political points, but I can't find anything that talks about the actual cause of the derailment that can describe how ECP would have helped. The news articles (as opposed to editorials) more or less say that Trump's removal of the rule to have ECP (at the request of the rail lines themselves, who will be the ones to bear much of the cleanup and mitigation cost in this case) increases the likelihood of incidents of this sort, but they aren't willing to assign blame for this incident.

FETTERMAN SENT TO INSANE ASYLUM!
A day after Senator Dianne Feinstein was forced out of office by her own staff, Senator John Fetterman has been "voluntarily" confined to an insane asylum.
Fetterman is receiving care on a voluntary basis and went to the hospital after evaluation from Brian Monahan, attending physician of the U.S. Congress, according to the statement.
While it’s the Pennsylvania senator’s first public admission to mental health treatment, his other health challenges became a frequent subject during his campaign. He suffered a significant stroke during his bid for the Senate, which forced him off the campaign trail for several months and affected his auditory processing.
Notably, ever since Fetterman's elevation to the Senate he's stopped wearing his "everyman" costume.
Just another weekday in the party of sane professionals!

In 2014 the U.S. Federal Railroad Administration proposed that electronic braking be required on trains carrying hazardous materials. The Donald Trump administration repealed the proposed rule.[19]

Nothing I've found says it would have prevented the derailment, only that it would have mitigated the severity of the disaster. The only named expert source I've found is Steven Ditmeyer, I'm sure all the different news articles are just circlejerking the same quotes he gave 'The Lever'.
Of course the railway companies didn't want to spend the money to install these brakes and asked Trump to remove the requirement. That's why gov't regulations exist, to force private companies to act in a way that protects citizens even if it makes doing business more expensive.
Irrespective of all of this, it's a bad look for Trump to show up in Ohio and give speeches right now. That was my main point.

You can play word games if you want hitred, but the brakes would have been in place on this train if Trump had not repealed the rule in 2017/18.
"When [the National Transportation Safety Board] completes its investigation of the cause of the derailment, which is still being investigated, [the Federal Railroad Administration] and [the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration] will look to the investigation results and use all relevant authorities to ensure accountability and improve safety," a DOT spokesperson told Fox News Digital on Wednesday.
"On the rule, in 2015, Republicans in the House and Senate required a cost-benefit analysis that allowed for the Trump administration to repeal the rule in 2017 and now makes it challenging to reinstate the rule in its previous configuration — due to threats of litigation and opposition in Congress," the statement continued.
"After the 2015 rule was issued, the rule including the RIA was challenged in 5 different Federal Circuits, and Congress quickly moved to vitiate the rule, making it more difficult under the Administrative Procedure Act to revisit the basis for advancing a rule. However, pending the results of the investigation into the derailment, FRA and PHMSA will evaluate action to prevent this from happening again."

Biden admin turns down Ohio's request for disaster assistance after toxic derailment
The Biden administration turned down a request for federal disaster assistance from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine in the aftermath of the train derailment in the state earlier this month that led to a large release of toxic chemicals.
What a gift! Sherrod Brown's seat was looking like an easy Senate pick-up for the GOP in 21 months; this should seal the deal.

Actual train track in Ohio in Biden's America, after the passage of Biden's Infrastructure Act, and following Democratic presidents in 10 of the last 14 years.
Yeah, everything would have been fine if they had better brakes.
And, yes, interstate railways are federal -- not state -- responsibility.

THIS JUST IN!
President Trump announces he will arrive in East Palestine, Ohio next week to conduct a needs assessment of the community. President Trump made his decision after Biden declined to conduct a visit or provide any other aid or assistance. It's believed Biden's faltering, failing health is behind his inability to leave Washington, D.C.
President Trump will be welcomed by Governor DeWine and Mayor Conaway who will provide him with a briefing on the disaster and tour him through the cleanup site. He will also conduct an aerial observation of cleanup efforts from an Ohio National Guard helicopter Governor DeWine has put at his disposal.
