Sometimes its small things D1 since there isn't much to go on. However I'm not seeing it too much right now. Basically its looking for any tells that he (and we) can get.

This is nonsense. First, Storr doesn't need anybody to ask him to claim; he'll claim if he feels like it. Second, of course if he's 3P and doesn't want to claim that yet, he's going to lie and say he's town. If he later claims 3P, we wouldn't lynch him just because he said now that he's town.

not really. any action used on the vig means an open playing field for what ever else town has. Vig at best can kill an anti town. Vig at worse can kill a town. Vig could also be lynched, because we wouldn't believe the claim latter in the game.

Therefore the expected outcome of mafia shooting someone randomly other than a vig is worse than shooting at the vig. So it is in their interest to shoot the vig. Yes, they'd love to get a cop or doc if they can, but on N1 they don't have that information yet, so the vig is a pretty reasonable choice.

Well if the reasoning is that they're not going to shoot at the vig, then you've just helped narrow down the scope for who they need to look at, without clearly benefiting town.

Explain on how it would be a trade? I mean unless the Vig has reallly accurate reads or gets lucky, it is most likely that the mafia will leave him alone N1 b/c of probabilities. More likely you would be trading a vig and a few town, without the guarantee of even getting one scum out of it.
