I could recount numerous things that stick out in my mind but I just wind up angry.

Maybe on my next deadlift day I'll do it...a seething anger seems to help with those.

Indeed, it made me think of a game where we were winning vs LHDD and two back to back stupid mistakes cost us the game.
Back then it was just a game, but now it was the difference between loss at home and a tie vs LHDD.

Could have had the extra point, which would have been incredibly important and useful now :?

Guess hindsight is not always a wonderful thing! :P

yeah and i'd still rather be in your shoes ice! the miracle we're trying to accomplish is close to impossible.

I still think we could go 6-2 in our home games against you Betiko, which is what I figured we needed to to win a tiebreaker...the dice in that stupid AYBBTU game in our away matches cost us dearly.

In short, its an extremely uphill fight for you.

Oh I understand and I'm not complaining. I was extremely upset when it happened (it's one of the few maps I'm good at) and we had discussed everything prior to the turn. The plan was laid out, and an error was made. It was still savable, and I was literally watching it in real time typing furiously away trying to get their attention to fort to a particular location and save the mistake from costing us the game. I also sent a text and skype message but the fort was still wrong lol

In the end, it was pretty clear we lost because of it and I was very unhappy. Made me even more unhappy when I found out the game would be the difference maker :(

And if it decides the whole event...I might get sick :/

lol; i hope you get sick then!

i guess you're talking about poison rome, cause i don't know how that one went from looking competely yours to seeing us with an advantage.
We made a few mistakes on eurasia and ww2 europe at some point, thought it would cost us the game. We had WW2 europe close to won at some point, then let egel take engalnd while we tried to kill red a bit too early, then the game went really uphill, we had really shit dice on important turns.... and hopefully egel made a 1-11 at some point that totally made us come back.
Both home and away against you guys were pretty epic... the decisive home game is still pretty epic, and is not a sure win at all, I keep telling my clanmates...

i'm still pretty happy to have taken my revenge on eurasia, I feel like that game last year cost us the semi final after losing 31-30... that game was clearly going our way, we had build a massive stack after rounds and rounds of fort trains and i blew it up entirely after an incredible dicefail round where i didn't even manage to break your bonus that i was supposed to take over and secure entirely with normal dice. as a result, we lost the game and the war, and our spot in the final.

I still think we will win 6 of our home games against LHDD. I don't think that USA2.1 game will not look tied for much longer. If we do we will long lament the dice in that AYBBTU game...

i have no idea of what's going on on 2.1, so I'll trust you on that.
I haven't really calculated if you can take us the 2nd place if we tie in points? shit, was it GD or head to head?

Tie-Breaker Rules:

If 2 or more clans end up with same amount of points their placement will be based on (in order):

Game Difference
Difference in head-to-head results
Difference in head-to-head game wins
Difference in head-to-head away game wins (if still more than 2 clans tie)
Difference in total away wins
Difference in total away game wins

lol if we beat ret and fallen and lose all remaining games against tofu, they beat us in GD; if we win 1 game out of the remaining against tofu in that scenario we are the runners up. I have all 3 clans finishing with almost the same GD..

You will win at least one more. 5.5 is my realistic estimate of our wins (but I'm an optimist so that's 6).

USA2.1 I learned the hard way from the master of that board.

With the end of CC5 being so close (FALL vs LHDD & FALL vs TOFU) both ending with just one game difference, I'm not surprised it's the same 3 clans fighting here and that the final is so close

out of curiosity, here is how we would've all finished if points were counted as in the random league, like benga was suggesting:

fallen: 10W, 1L (LHDD loss)
LHDD: 9W, 2L (FOED and TOFU loss)
TOFU: 8W, 1D, 2L (OSA draw, FOED and FALL wins)

although we could still draw against tofu overall...

Seems like we've got a challenger for CC6 there ;)

FOED drew the PACK for their round of CC6. They have a tough schedule ahead of them.
Bye Round 1
PACK Round 2
LHDD/OSA Round 3
Round 4 & 5 to many to really have a rough idea, but still will be some stiff competition to be faced on that side of the bracket.

You would be wise not to write off S&M. They are in fine form with many great players returning from breaks.

I agree, but they were on the other side of the bracket from FOED.

I've only started to look at the match between ATN and RET, haven't given it any thought beyond that. That match looks very close and too many games just started for me to have a read on it.

I do think we will prevail against AFOS based on what I am seeing (but we will not have the 34 wins I think someone had us winning in a prediction which was asinine).

It seems dumb for me to look beyond the next round at this point so I can't say what FOED's chances look like. I do think clans can round into form and sometimes blowout victories are not as helpful as close ones, but that's debatable I suppose.

Interesting that sometimes a hard fought victory sharpens a clan and sometimes it exhausts a clan...i think it depends on a number of factors that aren't always evident to the clan itself much less the outside.

I don't really know if we'll face FOED or PACK, but what I know is that I won't play it... My GF will give birth in that period, and I don't expect to have any form of free time by then haha.
I might hop in for an ocasional cheer for the dragons!

I think that 3rd crusade is looking good now, das schloss against fallen i m pretty sure has been secured while you guys actually had a chance.

So i really think it will be down to our tofu games!

LHDD moved Poison Rome a bit in their direction over the weekend, but as I alluded to earlier USA2.1 moved somewhat against them over the weekend. I didn't see any real movement in Hive, I know very little about New Zealand and Gallipoli.

NZ is definitely going your way, but not in drop. who knows if dice can turn...

gallipoli was going slightly your way in troop count but i think it's as tied as it can be (although i didn't check yet what happened after the last tofu turn).

glad to hear about poison rome not about usa.

come on! we need just one to finish second, 3 for the title!!! :D (assuming we get the other 2 pending against ret and fall)
