The Game 2 set has been sent out...if you were in a tourney in Game 1 and haven't received a second game yet, it's because I'm still waiting for the other side of the bracket to determine your opponent (that's the case for a lot of those early tourneys right now...those games will be sent when they come available)

Hey [player]musicalmaven[/player], keep in mind that the scoring is not "who wins 2 of 3," but rather, based on a scoring formula.

It'd really be your call. I reported it early when I realized it on the 2nd game but whatever you normally do is fine. If you normally just roll with it then I accept that. I think I'm too biased to say what the right thing to do would be here. I know in the NFL tournament (Not your NFL tourney) I beat a guy on the wrong map and we had to replay it and then I lost. So I know it'd suck for someone at this point. So I think you should do whatever you normally would do here whether its replay or play through.

I've updated a sample of Game 1 results and a sample standings box...they only have a few results at the moment. I'm making a few tweaks to deal with deadbeats Monday, and hope to have full results and standings posted at some point in the week...after that there will be regular updates several times through the week.

Are we supposed to post when our games are over or is that monitored by the organizer?

You can post if you like...

It's not necessary, as I will be pouring through results to update standings and such, but I encourage all coaches to hold "press conferences" about their teams and games if they would like.

All right...some minor tweaks to the alignment as we replace four deadbeats...

Welcome kama32478 as new coach at Georgetown and RobbieDub at Mississippi State

we will be dropping Tulsa and South Dakota State from the tournament, giving us 158 total teams.

Cleveland State will be taking Tulsa's spot in the Conference USA

The final change was to disband the Summitt/MEAC league in the following manner

North Dakota State, Southern Utah, Youngstown State and Western Illinois join the new 12-team Mountain West
Indianapolis, Iona, Marist and Niagara join the new 12-team America East

I'm hoping to post the final team list tonight, along with schedules and standings...Game 3s may get pushed back a day or two until I can get all that finished up.

For those affected directly by these changes in Games 1 & 2 you will be getting new matchups within the hour.

Well-coach HighlanderAttack has been quit adamant about the ranking of 19th they were given. Guaranteed victory for the first game basically and it was an easy win. Now against acores and whatever team he coaches, Villanova does not get any of the tips to start the game and is worried. As in years past--when we start losing the press conf. reports stop--we shall see what happens but silence may be upon Villanova.

There have been some questions about neutral courts...if you're playing in a regular-season tourney, those games are played on neutral court sites to replicate where the actual tourney is being played...example Dust Bowl for the CBE Classic in Kansas City or NYC for the 2K Sports Classic in New York.

That doesn't make much sense...I can't imagine anyone is going to make the tourney then suddenly drop out. If you reserve you just go on the list and join up when a spot may come open.
