First I will thank everybody for you're support.
And second I wil change the coats of arms if its possible (I mean if it wil not disturb the look of the map) and I'm also not happy of the color of the bridges.... I'm thinking,...

And I will go on with the XML, so we can see if the armynumbers fits in the center of the army circles.

Wisse: What do you mean about to try a outern glow for the names on the flags?

Below the latest development of the map BeNeLux.

UPDATE 14
Larger map :
(600x550)

Image
(Click to reduce to mapsize 500x458)

Some suggestions that were mentioned:

- New "bridges" over water, river or sea.
- New "attack routes" over the Monarchy borders.

I will still work on the other suggestions.

So let us know what U think about the map BeNeLux so far.

Apart from the other suggestions that I made in the previous post, believe it or not I must say that I used to prefer the older bridges!

Also maybe you could add an outer line to the arrows of the attack routes as they are not always visible like in the Liege-Limburg area.

i prefer the old bridges. and if you keep the arrows either give them a border/shadow or change the color...the light cyan you used is hard to see.

I don't mind the new bridges, but I agree with Ruben about the arrows. You need to add some sort of effect to add contrast between the arrows and the background territories.

That's interesting. Didn't know that. Any historical reason for the different versions of the name?

Is that the question about the borders ?

What do you mean, if this or the real borders of the countries ?

In that case: yes they are

OK that is your problem, but a province can have more regions.

We used that regions to have more countries, 20 is to little for a map.

And the borders of the regions or not fiction, they are real.
