you picked shitty settings... how is that anyone else's problem other than yours? the button isn't coming back... suck it up, cupcake.. sorry about your little butt... not a really compelling argument to bring back the most abused feature in CC history...-Jésus noir

So what? That's an argument for taking care of the abuse, not for removing a feature that a lot of paying customers want.
I know your type. You're that negative guy that shows up at meetings just to strike down every productive idea people throw out there. You get off on the petty power you get from striking people down. On behalf of your victims, this is for you buddy:

way to further the discourse with a flame... enjoy your warning that will be coming in your inbox from the mods... and please show me the numbers that you have to prove that "a lot of paying customers want" a surrender button. i'm a paying customer, have been for a lot longer than you have and have contributed a great deal more time in the forums helping to move the site and it's policies/game play/rules forward... you want a quick way out of a game. sorry, this was proven to not work when the site was started and lack removed it. every single subsequent owner has realized the same thing that lack did, it is too greatly abused to ever be implemented again... so, i will refrain from comments about your little pretty picture and your mother and let the moderators deal with you... sorry if a dose of reality is too much for you to handle, but the surrender button is never coming back... deal with it... stop picking shitty settings on shitty maps, and you won't get stuck in a game for months/years... the black jesus has spoken...-Jésus noir
p.s.-what a shock... you're from florida...

The rejection of "surrender" appears to have happened in 2006!! In 2-player polymorphic trench games, you may have 40 turns to wade through after all is lost.. it is a major bummer. Can this be revisited (surrender in trench only, 2 player only, after minimum turns ... I'll take what I can get)!
Note ... the frustration the moderators obviously feel about having this issue raised and re-raised is understandable (no one likes playing "whack-a-mole" ) ... but consider WHY players keep raising it. It is a very desirable game feature. Imagine a chess site where you were not allowed to tip over your own king and had to play every game through to the end)!
Thanks,

Lets vote on the "I Quit Button"

Lets take a vote on that "I quit button"
Concise description:
leave yes if you want it. leave no if you dont
Specifics/Details:
Vote yes if you think this site should have a "I quit" button of some kind. If the majority of the members want one, then we can vote on what kind exactly we need. Vote no if you think we don't need one of any kind
How this will benefit the site and/or other comments:
First off, I am doing this on my own and the powers that be don't have to pay any attention to the results what so ever. I have been on this site since 2008 and the biggest argument that I know of is this button one can push if they wish to end the game for what ever reason. Just like tipping your king over in chess. As far as I know, there has never been a vote on it......so lets vote. I will keep a running tally as we go and at the end of 30 days we'll see what we get. Please only vote once. Just like in joining a tournament, simply hit the post reply button and leave Yes or No. I think you need to leave 4 characters so improvise here...."yess or nono" you get the idea. Long comments can be posted in a different thread. Once again, please just yes or no. See what happens in 30 days

NO
you just lose the game. everything stays the same.
the problem is this was discussed a lot of times before and it was always a no go...

you know you can make a poll, right?
also, an I Quit button should count as 3 missed turns

There has to be a penalty of some type Otherwise it is a bad idea I can see it being used as a CHEAT if implemented

If there was a provision that would involve a certain threshold of ratios between army counts, then maybe the surrender button could be implemented with little risk of abuse.
Meaning, one couldn't surrender until their opponent had a 4 to 1 army ratio to their own army count. Or whatever ratio is deemed appropriate.
So if player A has 32 armies and player B has 8 armies then the system would allow player B to surrender.
