None of your goddamned business.

herk wrote:I was going to see about Haggis or Flores last night, but I am seriously considering them for tonight.

Besides, what do you care? Don't you suspect flores? Why defend her? Or are you just nosy?

Don't question my motives or my actions unless you have reason to cast suspicion on me. I have done nothing suspicious. Also, I can guarantee you everyone single person has visited another person through night actions. It's the nature of a non-vanilla game. (excluding prudent town vigs of course)

Why has my question made you so defensive?

lol that wasn't defensive, trust me. That was a response to your inane question. If you would read the post in its entirety then maybe you come to understand what I was saying.

This is Town vs. Mafia, not "everyone is accountable and must answer directly whilst kissing the feet of Emperor Herk so he knows what's going on." What are you, the Spanish Inquisition?

Here let me try:

Who did you visit N1? Why? What was the result? N2? Why? Result? N3? Why? Result? You must answer to meeeeeee cuz we're TEAM ROCKET....PUTTING OTHERS IN THEIR PLACE....

And I wouldn't mind if it was just that one question that you asked me, but it's everyone. I mean, ffs, you asked Haggis for the last two pages on clarification on his role. I read his claim, and that's that. Sure, the veracity is another issue, but he explained the supposed mechanics of it, and yet you keep asking.

P.S. I didn't mean for it to come across as violent as it sounded. This week has been super-busy, what with working full time and finals, so I may have been letting of some steam.

Mr. Squirrel wrote:CC mafia is in no way similar to Mafiascum. I would suggest you do not look there in the future for clarification on a role.

Considering that this forum still haven't got together an comprehensive and collective role explanation list (was discussed a while back IIRC) I'd say that looking at mafiascum and other established sites ain't a bad start (the info thread still links to it even for role explanations).

Of course for advanced games with advanced roles (like this one) one should never assume that anything works exactly as it does somewhere else or how it did work in an earlier game, and that goes double for any rare/out there roles.

All true, however he did have some semblance of a point. What I would like to know is if you did visit Flores on Night 1? The why, what and how did it go probably doesn't needs to be looked at atm but the if would be helpful to know.

I'm gonna look for a replacement for pmc. Although he just posted, he is obviously not participating.

I voted jace again after his doctor claim.

I'm definitely agreeing with that logic ga7.

This is from a number of pages back, but I think it's really good.
ga7 wrote:Another point that bugs me is :
Commander9 wrote:Just wanted to let you all know I investigated Haggis tonight and he is the one with my own gun and 100% definitely Mafia.

I suppose that part wasn't made up.
To which Haggis answers:
Haggis_McMutton wrote:Anyway, you shouldn't trust backstory so readily, it'd be kind of weird if Mr.Squirrel subverted the role of gunsmith like that by basically telling you with 100% certainty that someone is scum, wouldn't it?

So far the backstory matches perfectly. If Commander indeed had the certitude that the owner of his gun was scum I don't see how it wouldn't fit. I think you fucked up your fakeclaim actually, because as Thief it would work out perfectly that you could have gotten that gun. The only other option I see is that you'd be framed by a Mafia Framer, but since you went out of your way to explain how you'd gotten this gun it can't be that either. So that's another element against the claim.

I really think that Haggis's FBI profiler claim just doesn't hold up.

Thezzaruz wrote:Time to board the "bash Haggis claim" train me thinks. IMO his claim has so many issues and inconsistencies that I just can't believe it to be true.

I completely agree.

ga7 wrote:Haggis specifically told Strike was his third investigation. Then look this page at the beginning of Day 3.
Day has just started, Illy mentions Saxlad, and who bothers to dig up quotes, add arguments and vote Saxlad? Haggis. When no investigative role was out and according to him he would have tried to make a case on Jace without revealing his role.

That's a pwn no? :D

Haggis_McMutton wrote:
ga7 wrote:That's a pwn no? :D

Nope, just you having tunnel vision. You don't have one damn good argument against me, just a bunch of weak ones, and somehow that makes me scummier than the guy we CAUGHT BLATANTLY LYING ...

Seriously, this isn't rocket science:
1. Kill me, if I'm lying you get scum, if I'm telling the truth you lose a town power role
2. Kill Jace, if I'm lying you get scum(me), if I'm telling the truth you get scum(jace).

Oh I think the main arguement is that we think you are bullet proof scum and more of a threat than the scum that town can NK tonight (Jace).
I agree with ga7, Thezzaruz, theherkman, Commander9, and others. It's better to lynch the potential bulletproof scum and then have theherkman's group NK Jace.

Vote haggis

Another thing that bothers me is that the FBI profiler claim seems to be too "new age" to be part of the backstory for this game. It just doesn't sit right with me.

alright, you guys have swayed me, with the potential of a jace NK and the 'new age' argument flow (psychological profiling in this period - BS) I'm going to switch my vote unvote vote haggis

Good catch flow, according to Wikipedia; one of the first criminal profilers John E. Douglas was born in 1945 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/FBI_method_of_profiling so unless the fbi had a secret team of savant two-year-olds, haggis' claim is quite a bit before the times

Saxlad is going to be revived as pmchugh. I checked through the history and he will work as a proper replacement.

Quick post as I ponder treating insomnia with alcohol which is probably not a good idea, that reminds me Haggis never gave us the name of his role. Flow's argument makes a lot of sense as far as historical perspective is concerned =) L-1 so I won't bother answering the points on this one, no such thing as pointless arguing

GG Haggis, I wonder if you really were aware of the gun thing btw? Found it hard to believe at first that there could be an investigative way to ID a godfather

It seems we caught ourselves a godfather and one of his goons. And a good catch as well, as haggis was playing very well and didn't raise too many alarms.

well played haggis, i was in the middle of writting a post on your deffense and voting jace when the frenchy told me the lynch had been reached *sighs* i must work in my obsessive tendency of make ridiculously long post's adressing every single quote that perked my attention, if i had just summarized i could have posted ages ago, of course there is the little thing that with xtmas being near i have been more concerned with shopping than mafia  mea culpa.

anyway bravo haggis, your claim was completely ballsy, even thought not historically accurate as it was already pointed out.

Dang, if you and a few other people that are having reduced activity due to Christmas would have been here i think i could have made it. Jace was at L-2 at one point. :-k

Btw, nice catch with the historical thing. Given the circumstances I think i covered all in-game aspects as well as I could with that claim(don't think a claim of thief would have worked), but the time-frame completely slipped my mind ...
