Now remind me when I play this to make sure I get the country that has Nintendo HQ in it, I'll have a sure win every time... My samurai will be so inspired by holding that sacred place... oh yes... *bows in front of Nintendo effigy*

You might try this Font Identifier.

Hm, I tried using the Identifier, and it sort of looks similar to 'Linotype Nautilus™ Roman'...but not sure. You or others might have better luck.

Found the one I was looking for, turns out it was the one I thought it was all along. Tahoma. I was just having anti aliasing problems. I hope it should be finished as soon as I can, because I think this is one of the longest works in progress because I wont get my arse in gear. :)

I've found another typo, hehe.

Tokoshima is actually Tokushima, got that wrong as well.

Well, just another note to say that I've almost pretty much finished the map now.

Right ok, time for an update on this map, I know it has been a very, very long time since I did much on this map. I had been unable to find the time for my map or posting much on the forums for a while because of family thing.

Just to let all you guys know this map is back in development

I agree qeee, I eagerly awaited this map since I first saw this thread, and have since seen several good maps released, but still cannot wait to kick Haydenas ass several times over on his own map.

The most curious thing is, this Japan map is being made by an English, and British Isles map was made by a Japanese... Did you realize it already?

Well actually I did, thought I'd return the favour to Nobunaga.

Okay, here's an update, I'm about to leave on a weeks holiday, and will be back after that week and should post an update within the next few days. Sorry about this, but I do not have time to post it up yet.

I will get it done, I swear :D

on the first page, yes. but that's because it's GONE but not the one on the page just before this one. if it is that one then i have no idea how to help you.

thanks happysadfun. as for the map, maybe you could add the southern islands like Okinawa and similar?

i always wondered why the rest of hokkaido isn't there...

Well I know, it's the same story as before, this map has sort of slipped back into the depths of the foundry. Thanks for the bump Phobia, here is the current small version, i think there were a few issues i still had to rectify with it, but I have been very busy this month, and trying to get the large version done is proving time consuming, I have it somewhere lol, I'll have a look now.

Also, the rest of hokkaido is not there to try and fix the issue I had with the sheer size of this thing.

EDIT: Infact, I found my current large version, this is what I am currently working on, of course mountains and connecting lines or anything else have been added, but I think it looks a bit cleaner, plus I haven't merged all the layers together this time!

Well I'm glad to see you working on it Haydena! A few things have popped up since I've last seen the map.

I'm a little unsure about Tohoku 4 borders, (and mostly like a constant fight with Hokkaido), while only having a bonus of 3. But bumping it up to 4, makes it maybe too similar to other continents. Hokkaido looks like a strong starting point, due to exspansion from the north seems relatively easy.

And for non gameplay issues...

Is there any way to use the same black color in the compass as you do in the figures? Everything would seem to blend a little more.

Also, in the legend, the Flag seems a little stiff. Have you considered looking into an older looking, ruffled, rumpled, torn map, to go with the background of the legend?

And also about the legend, the right side seems a little too much like it was cut out using an exacto knife, perhaps if possible, look into make that edge a little rougher, similar to the left side and others.

Your map is coming along...and I can't wait to get it up and added to the site.

u could connect part of hokkaido to somewhere on the bottom. that would make it less of a starting point and it gives u an excuse to raise the bonus.

i would connect Iwate to somewhere south so that a person in hokkaido cant commit all troops to fighting tohoku without a border to defend.
