The Oriental characters could be a nice touch, but I would avoid the bamboo image and weird brushstrokes... they just look wrong and out of place.

Hmm, so one against the background, one for (tlane). Here's what I'm thinking for mountains:

Those mountains will probably be really hard to replicate at a small enough scale for the map.

Yes, Benn, you are right. They look kinda good, but the details that made them good aren't there. But no, sailor, they added the mountains, and don't really look weird.

Complete draft up tomorrow (hopefully!)

But they do not look like this, when you said you were going after this look I figured you would use the brush stroke affect but I do like how you did the mountains...

Sorry I don't follow … Have you made a brush out of the pictures? How do you know what they look like?

I mean that the small mountains do not have the same look as the big mountains but I like the mountains you have used...

Mountains look better. I would say you might want to retouch the grey shading so that it does not extend that far beyond them. Being more precise (even though this contradicts the tutorial) on the enlarged ones in the legend would be a good idea, since the small imperfections are rather large there.

Could you make sure that none of the legend touches the shores of the continent? There is room for you to keep the legend entirely at see and not touch the rim of it.

The names on your bonus are so small that you can't see them. Pick shorter names.

The sea routes connecting the islands to the mainland look horrible and need to be fixed.

Always playing around with the mountains … I'll do all that.

That's what I meant by "move everything but title (3px) over to the right" … done.

The names on your bonus are so small that you can't see them. Pick shorter names.
If I don't get too many objections from the Koreans around here, how's 'bout I drop the "-Do", "-Bukto", and "-Namdo"s?

The sea routes connecting the islands to the mainland look horrible and need to be fixed.
Yeah, I know. I just can't get what to do for them — dotted lines don't work very well … port symbols maybe?

Thanks,

The new draft seems great but here is what I think. I would like to see the two planes at the bottom spread further apart. In a game a player could easily start out with the Py. Bukto or the Ch. Bukto. I so not have a idea on how to fix that but I would keep it in mind. Great map!

Congratulations on Advanced Draft! You earned it!

None of our current maps with starting neutrals say that territories start out as neutral. As soon as the game begins, you will see that they are neutral, so it would be a waste of space.
