popular vote, not majority in this one

"voting will be left open until a popular vote is achieved" which basically means if you guys vote
player 1: 2 votes
player 2: 2 votes
Player 3: 1 vote
Player 4: 3 votes

player 4 is lynched, this was discussed earlier, remember when everyone realized it and decided they shouldnt be random voting

Missed it >< I'm sure half the people didn't notice either heh. It's bad taste to lynch without a claim...

And yet again I'm bandwagoned without being allowed chance to give a full reply. Have you ever thought that maybe I get so 'defensive' because I'm fucking bandwagoned every game now?

It begain with pancakemix accuseing / without cause, and in return F1fth accused pancakemix, the accusations flew then without rhyme or reason when suddenly Scoffin spoke up above the croud.
"Listen Please!" she called out "This is crazy! we cant just randomly accuse people like this! I think we need to calm down, give it another night, nothing rash has to happen" and with that statement it was over, the first to raise against her was ga7, as the croud got behind him, calling out that only 'the thing' would not want it found! There was no option for her, they had surrounded her and before she had a chance to back up her claims, a LARGE majority was attacking her. Then it happened, a gun shot, fired by ace1217 who had remained silent until now, Scoffin's eyes went wide with the sudden pain, then glazed over as she fell to the ground, dead.
A slow hush waved over the people in the hall as they watched, and nothing happened.
"The things in the dog cennal... bullets didnt stop them, only the fire... sh-she was human" Brandon's voice peeked up above the others "you...you killed a human!"
After the comotion calmed down, and Scoffin's body was taken care of, everyone slipped back to the rooms, but the captain had assigned a 'fireguard' this night, two people a night to watch the halls, to make sure nothing happened, now if 'the thing' attacked, it would have to be much more careful.

Scoffin: Killed VIA lynch: Human

Begin Night 2...

Isn't it Skoffin? Let's just hope she's not insulted....

Night 2
This night Brandon fell straight asleep, perhaps it was the two nights of sleepless weary, but for once he was at rest... For a while, he awoke suddenly as alarms started blazing overhead.
"What the hell is that?!" he called out at the top of his lungs, the siren was loud, far too loud and the new researcher rushed out into the hallway along with everyone else. Over the loud speakers the captains voice was heard "Everyone please proceed to the mess hall emediately!" When Brandon arrived with everyone else the captain had blood smeered across his face and was paceing back and forth feverishly.
"Attention... QUIET!" he called out before speaking. "Last night, Fircoal was found dead... Stabbed, NOT from the creature, it was one of you in this room now. With my second under watch right now, I am the only law here, not you! I imlore you all to watch each other, and be ready for anything." The captain walked away back to his room quietly, it was obvious to everyone that he looked defeated, and resigned. If anything was going to happen they would have to figure it out themselves.

Fircoal: Killed VIA Rogue: Human

Begin Day 3

From what is there (unless I missed anything) than there should be 3 people as "the thing".

We need to get going and find it, and quickly.

Unless the Doctor is doing a good job, but we can't count on that (no offense, Doc ;)).

What to think of the hammering vote on Skoffin?

1. I'll ask the Rogue to chill out a bit. Let's not be too hasty. It could cost us.

2. Epic FOS Ace. WTF was that?

3. There is no number 3. You are not reading this.

I agree with PCM. Whoever the rogue is, try to only kill when you're almost positive your victim is the thing.

As for there being no thing kill tonight, I think it's safe to assume they recruited someone. It'll be pretty tough for the doc to protect the right person at such an early stage in the game.

And as for ace, he may have been unaware that he was actually casting the hammering vote. It would be nice if we could hear from him.

Wait, my vote killed skoffin? What weird voting system is going on in this game? My vote wasn't intended to be a hammer, it was pressure. As for why I voted her, I figured that the reasoning already stated was enough reasoning.

yes the voting system is alittle different in this then you may be used to, what we need is a popular vote, like so

Perhaps the Thing just basically failed. But here are the scenerio's.

1) The Thing recruited another person
2) The Thing did not succeed at killing or assimilating.

The odds are on number 1.

OK the 8 people that voted skoff:

ga7- could say he started the wagon but I don't think he was immeadiately suggesting a lynch.

pmchugh- innocent :P my vote was purley random, although i should have acted better considering I actually understood the rules.

animo- casual early game bandwaggoing, don't think he knew where it was going.

Fifth- first serious attempt to create a bandwogn although there was reasonable cause

LSU- bandwagoning (like most), apology makes it seem false as well as comment about drake tommorow and suggesting that skoff should be lynched.

stroop- just as bad as LSU, also leaving his options open to retract when we find out she isn't really scum.

dunc- resigned to getting nothing better and wanting the lynch, we may not have known it would happen sooner but he certainly wanted it done anyway.

ace- Already people pointing out the hammer without reason, although from my experiences of ace he aint a great talker anyway.

FOS lsu, stroop, dunc and ace.

GAH I HATE MY INTERNET!

Yes, I had no clue that Skoffin would be lynched. When I checked up on this again, it was a major Skoffin bandwagon. I had no clue why, and I thought that they had some good reason.

(Sorry to Skoffin for not unvoting! If I unvoted, maybe she wouldn't have been lynched.)

to be honest the chances are someone else would have

as for the voting on skoffin, the most common of scum voting would have been in the middle of the votes

also @ mod

i thought it was the majority vote when everyone had voted?

the majority was found when the remaining players who had not voted total could not reach nor exceed the vote on Skoffin i belive 6 players were left to vote and it would have taken 8 to catch up to her vote :) Its just the type of vote thats going to take some getting used to for you guys ;) but now everyone is quite well aware of it for sure

Well the mod did do a slightly poor job of explaining his system. I was under the the impression that a lynch would only occur when everyone voted or (maybe) when a majority of all people was reached. I don't remember reading anywhere that I could occur the way it did. I request that in future vote counts say how many for votes for the person and how many votes for other people are required for the lynch so we can keep track.
I have no idea where to go from here but am getting the feeling that we are screwed...

What makes me nervous about this method of voting is that a vote on someone else can hammer someone. Let me explain by example:

Person A has 5 votes
Person B has 2 votes
Person C has 1 vote

3 people haven't voted yet.

Now under these conditions, there wouldn't be a lynch. But, if one of those three nonvoting people votes for Person C, it would get Person A lynched, even though there was no hammer on Person A and the majority of people have not voted for Person A.

That allows scum to indirectly hammer people. Not a good thing. :?

I disagree, The rouge, being town, increases our survival probabilities if he kills every night with decent judgment, we are all in the dark here since we don't have investigators, and logically town is shrinking every night, through kills or recruiting, right now we are most likely against three things, we might as well try to end this fast and control more kills per phase than the thing, before there are more.
So if the rouge kills a thing, score one for town, if he kills town, that's bad, but unavoidable, at least we have less suspects to deal with, it's the same with lynching. We can only try our best.
Besides, fircoal didn't even post.
So FOS dunc and perhaps PCM, for wanting the rouge not to use his abilities, a scenario which benefits the things more than town.
