4.4.1 bug:

Maybe not a bug but just something that's very noticeable now:

there seems to be a bit of a "flash" everytime i attack or advance armies. i think it is a screen that flashes "loading magic map" very quickly, but WOW is it distracting.

advice?

- Note Pleasewait code runs for Textmap code too - so if you have TextMap on - you will see processing happening during turns.

For BOB 4.4.1, I am getting an error every time I try to take a screenshot. It just pops up saying to refresh and try again, which seems to do no good...

Just installed the new 4.4.1 this morning, and while I have the "Drop Down List Colors" turned OFF, it still has them.

Not sure how to fix that....just wanted to bring it to the attention of who needs to know. Not an urgent thing.

not much of a bug, but very annoying. i updated to 4.4.1 and each time i go into game, i keep getting a BOB is loading overshadowing the game page.

it didnt happen before this version adn i just wondered if i can get rid of that and have it as before.

mine does the same thing also some of the stats are not correct on some maps showing bonuses of continents when they are clearly not

Iberia is one map its happening on

Also I cant get into Battle Royale at all, the screen just goes white its doing it if I have bob turned off or on

Also when i turn some of the features off and on i get a quick flash that says turning majic map on
I only hope that means Ive won the golden ticket and will roll nothing but double 6'sfrom now on

and I dont have text map on

None of these things happened until i loaded the new BOB tonight


Oh and one last thing I have a mac...

So I saw the blinking red 'Update Available' and installed it.

The loading thing is fine and all, but every time I do something (attack, fortify, etc.) the entire screen flashes now. It's pretty annoying and actually makes my head hurt. Guess my brain doesn't like flashes.

Any idea what's causing this? For now, I'm going to try to go back to the previous version.

1I111I1, I came here to post about the same thing. Reading the above posts, it seems to be a feature, not a bug.

I also reverted to the older version. My brain does not like flashes.

the flashing is caused because Bob freezes the screen while loading. The flash is from loading the text map. Bob freezes the page because if you try to make a move or change any thing, Bob dislikes you and may break!

From what I can gather, turn off the Text Map, and the flashing will go away.

Never could figure out what use the Text Map was anyway...no offence, C

Every time I enter a game, I get the message "Log Downloading Failed - Would You like to Retry?" When I click "OK" it loads fine, but it might be something to look into.

anyone know how i can go back to the previous version of bob this one is making me batty

If I had to guess, the script is loading the entire log but possibly not scanning the entire log? Of course this should be considered an extremely uneducated guess, friendly1 couldn't write a basic program with decades of training, much less delve into scripting

Bit confused by your game numbers here... both games are a) without you in them b) with no missed turns in. c) with 1/2 players eliminated not kicked.

Both games are in a tournament I am running. http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=38896

There are point reductions in this tournament for missed turns, so being able to calculate missed turns automatically is of great value!

In game 1863826 Caspertk had missed Round 5, and Deech had missed Round 9 and 10

In game 1863824 (still active game) Caspertk missed round 5 and Deech missed round 9.

So correct, I am in neither game, but incorrect that no missed turns exist.

Bob is still not picking up the missed turn for caspertk in the active game?

Some thoughts: Do missed turns only calculate for games you are active in?

Do missed turns only calculate for yourself?

Is there a way to show/calculate statistics for eliminated players? An on/off option perhaps?

Do missed turns only calculate for the previous round? For the game log cutoff (last 50 lines)?

friendly1, the "missed turns" column only records a missed turn if the last turn or the last two turns have been missed.

im having a problem seeing certain maps, asia and classic are two so far, every time i open my game on those maps, the map area is all white and all i see are the army numbers.


any help would be greatly appreciated.

also i dont know how or if its related, but i cant see anyones sigs in the forums. i use firefox, but when i go on explorer i can see everything.

I did flick through the last few pages in an attempt not to repeat previous bugs but didnt find anything, so here goes...

1. The stats are highlighted, mostly in the same colour as the text making it very hard to read... as if i had selected the text...like in a word document... i would take a screenshot... but i don't know how to post it :-/

2. maybe a CC problem not BOB... but i have to leave and re-enter game between each action... ie deploy...leave...enter...attack...leave...enter...advance...leave...enter... end attacks... you get the drift....

Ahhh. ok - my misunderstanding.

Sooooo, the next step would be to request if it would be of use to anyone to be able to see the missed turns which exist for the entire game? I know it is certainly of use to me.... hmmm, and I guess this should probably go from the bugs topic to the development/discussion topic as well... I'll post it there and let this end here.

all i did was use the red flashing update BOB thing that tells you when a newer version is available... would this not replace current BOB version instead of installing alongside?

Sounds like you might have clicked "block images from conquerclub.com" or similar....
