I must admit, the great Barfus duo going down after such stellar showing in Random League has me baffled :P

Second round is being sent out to the matchups that are ready!

Still waiting on a couple matchups to finish from the first bracket, once they do, I'll get the final 4 Matches sent out.

6/8 Matches Winner's bracket is sent out
6/8 Matches Loser's bracket is sent out.

Good luck!

All good. It's over. Few more turns to clean it up.

Not sure if you can call it an upset rather than just difficult seeding, but Shannon and jimboy beat T4 and rousseau.

Can I ask what is the point in the losers bracket?
I could see a point if the winner entered the quarter finals of the winners bracket or something... But there is nothing to gain from winning the losers bracket? You would still rank lower than someone who won first round and lost second. Yet winning round 1 is substantially less difficult than winning the losers bracket. Just doesn't make sense to me. An explanation would help. Or is it just what it is?

The winner of the winner's bracket final plays against the winner of the loser's bracket final for the tournament victory. In some cases (idk how swimmer will execute here), if the winner's bracket team then loses the grand final they get a so called "bracket reset" which prompts a rematch. The term "double elimination" is often used to describe these brackets: lose twice, you're out.

What he said ^^ If you take a look at the challonge link you should be able to see that described in how the winner of the loser's bracket gets to play for the championship.

The loser's bracket awaits its four competing teams who are still duking it out! Two will survive, and two will take their seats with heads hung low...

TheJonah, DukeHazzard vs rousseau72 and t4

unai, Zabeast vs Barfus

Well that's just Genius. Whoever came up with that system should be congratulated. Here I was thinking I was playing for nothing. Definitely a step ahead of my thinking.

All four winner's bracket matchups have completed, I will send out invites for those, Losers Round 3 is still waiting to start as two matchups are just now beginning. Will probably be a bit until Losers Bracket catches up. Will send those out when they are all ready.

Barfus has been eliminated :(

Second round of losers bracket is finally coming to a close. Couple games going to round 20. Will get the third round for losers bracket going sometime this week or this weekend.

I prefer the term 'Playing just for fun' bracket instead of 'losers' bracket, or even 'A for Affort' bracket. or 'winners-in-waiting' bracket.

winners-in-waiting is most accurate.

I don't make the rules, I just... oh wait... I do. I declare you a loser! ;)

The winners are most certainly gonna be in waiting... 8-) I didn't realize these loser folk would take so many extra rounds
