I just like some bands. I'm into music but I rarely have a "favourite" in anything
how old are you? cuz if you're pretty young then I'm sure you'll develop a favorite someday

Yeah I'm young: 14. I just kinda like everything.
Except country music. And rap, but that isn't music
I to don't care much for country or rap. But Rap-Metal, that I can get into a bit, depending on how much rap there is. And don't have only one fav, have many.

by rap-metal, do you mean Nu Metal? I like it a little, but overall, almost every band in that genre tries to copy the ones before it...not much originality...

I like:
rock
heavy metal
Not much pop music, only slightly.
Soundtracks are usually fun to listen to.

Especially when you don't want to listen to lyrics

By Rap-Metal, I'm talking about Linkin Park. Nu-Metal, to my understanding is Godsmack.

I don't know about Godsmack, but I know that Linkin Park is both Nu Metal and Rap Metal, so I'm pretty sure they are the same...
and by "Nu Metal isn't very original" I also mean Linkin Park... except for their new album, a lot of their songs sound the same, like screaming in the chorus and rapping in the verses...

Great Muse link by the way"Time is running out"
Rap Metal is more Hed Pe,Methods of Mayhem,Kottonmouth Kings
Godsmack is good, though Linkin Park is more techno(Nu?) metal to me.
underground vs mainstream? I vote underground

thanks I love that song...
and yes Linkin Park has a DJ, but they are still considered Nu metal/rap metal I think...

Even though I don't much care for his music, his is certainly not Death Metal. Goth Rock, maybe. Black Metal, yes. Are Goth and Death bands. Still, caring only insomuch as to place things were they fit the best.

to me, I just see all those individual labels as one big blur called Metal. and I love it.

nice, I know someone who plays "lite jazz rock" and in some of his songs he takes a violin stick (I don't know what they're called

) and plays an electric guitar like a violin

When you guys talk about rap-metal the genre is actually called rapcore. which are bands like P.O.D, Linkin Park, Hed Pe, and The Kottonmouth Kings

Favorite would have to be Pink Floyd. Though I like Pete Townsend the best as an individual performer.

Your mum is rapcore. Quit being a terminology bore, we all know what we're talking about, we don't need to have the terminology dictated to us by industry executives via you.
Much love!

no it sounds very cool and unique, of course you couldn't get into any prestigious musical schools playing like that

Zepplin did that on one of their songs, now if only I could remember which one.....
