Panthers and Saints are going to finish tied for first in their division. I presume the tiebreaker for the top spot is division record, correct? Saints would then take the title (5-1 to 4-2). Just want to be sure...

First tie-breaker is head-to-head. The two of you split the season series. Because of this, it goes to division record, and yes, if you win your last game, you win the division.

ASs a representative of Pittsburgh I'd like to present the following email sent by my teammate -Ironwood - to myself and 300Spartans prior to the final game of the season. Each scenario worked out in our favor so I presume Pittsburgh made the final WC?????

From Ironwood -

We need Tennessee to win this game: Game 13576162 (they have a slight lead right now)
and
We need Baltimore to lose their last game, which they are losing handily (game: Game 13576107).
and
We need Denver to lose (they are about to lose this game: Game 13576136)

If those scenarios play out, that leaves Steelers, Jets, and Baltimore at 8-8. Per the NFL rules, http://www.nfl.com/standings/tiebreakingprocedures, we win the 3 or more team tiebreaker vs Baltimore as we finished 4-2 in our division to their 3-3. Not sure about our tiebreaker vs the Jets, but they likely have a better Conference record, so we should be the 6 seed. We should be playing the #3 seed MIAMI on Conquer Rome in the wildcard round.

It's early, but it looks like Miami will beat the Jets, which will drop the Jets to 8-8. You've got a head-to-head victory over New York, which gives you the tie-breaker over them. You also have the tie-breaker over Baltimore, like you say. You'll be the 5th seed.

To take it further, Indianapolis is eliminated based on poor conference record. The Jets lost head-to-head against Baltimore, so it looks like the Ravens are in line for the 6th seed.

This is based on current projections for games not yet finished.

Glad you could play! The NFL tourneys are always one of my favorites.

There are only two active games left, San Francisco at Arizona, and NY Jets at Miami. However, both of these games will decide final seeding in the playoffs. Because of this, the playoffs cannot start until these games finish.
