but what i mean was, you can't just go into a newsagents and buy some pot, but you can buy cigarettes

personally i believe this article is biased,
always knew THC was a weak form of hallucenagenic
however the only psychotic impulse i ever got was "Peace and Now!" mixed with the desire to end poverty and injustice- maybe thats what they are talking about?

ok. Thus far the anti-marijuanna folks' arguments just seem kind of silly. Jay saying people would sit around their places of work high as kites seems fairly ridiculous. People don't go to their white collar jobs and drink all day. It just wouldn't happen, if people did it they'd be fired. It seems that the anti-pot league should be trying to prove A. marijuanna is worse for you than cigarettes and alcohol (there's a case there, what with people holding it in their lungs, etc) or social effects.(Less of a case there, see Amsterdam, the 1960's-70's) I haven't seen anything impressive yet. Then again, Jay is not really the most qualified to be arguing a point. Or walking erect. He is so ridiculous.

Yes. They should be sure to compare with the very safe practices of people drinking until they pass out or keg parties & beer bongs and pack a day nicotine addicts.
