Another suggestion for the script in relation to the confirmation dialogs..
From this thread:
http://www.conquerclub.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=2198
Make an option to turn on/off Friendly Fire, so that if you have chosen to attack a teammate, you get an "You are attacking a teammate, are you sure?" dialog.

Most of you who've been following this thread since it's inception will have read this post early in the thread ...

Yea, feel free to use modified versions of my script.

I should of probably come up with a better name for it...

BTW
Well done on the script.

This is from Tr0y the author of the original Greasemonkey Conquer Club script. As Tr0y notes, the name - "Conquer Club" - could have been more imaginative!
I've suggested to stocksr that as his script is nearing maturity* it should get a proper name. Perhaps in time for version 1.0 ...
I had what I thought was a great idea - "Trojan" ... I like it because it gives credit to Tr0y, alludes that his code is 'inside' stocksr's code, hints at the war theme of the game etc ... ['tRoJan horSe' even includes stocksr's full initials ... like I say, I thought it was a
great idea

]
But, as stocksr has pointed out to me the whole "Trojan" or "Trojan Horse" thing has really bad connotations in the IT world [viruses etc] .. Would you install a script from a prompt that said "Do you want to install Trojan?" ... Hmm, probably not.
So here's the challenge .. what would be a good name for the script?
All and any thoughts, no matter how apparently random, welcomed ...

Here's an apparently random thought:
TSAR.
Tactical
Situational
Awareness
Reporter
Timely and accurate dissemination of tactical information to the game player is the key to successful operations in the Conquer Club environment.

The first thing I thought of when I say TSAR was Tsar Bomba, the largest nuclear bomb ever made. Any way you could make BOMBA an acronym too?

Niiiice.
The original Tsar Bomba was so powerful the Russians had to cut its power in half so prevent the fallout from reaching Russia.

On a game screen, the script options are an additional menu on the left side of the screen: 'Greasmonkey options' Simply Left click to toggle through the options.

The - indicates that the countries are below 12 indicating that the country bonus is already 3 and cannot be reduced further.
The * indicates that if you conquer two of this player's countries his country bonus will drop by 1.
You only need to reduce the territory count by
1 to reduce the armies due next turn..
tahitiwahini wrote:The ** indicates that if you conquer three of this player's countries his country bonus will drop by 1.
Only need to take 2, not 3, of the player's territories.
*** after the territory count indicates you need to kill the player in three territories to reduce the armies due next turn
tahitiwahini wrote:The absence of any marking indicates that you must conquer one of this player's countries to drop his bonus by 1.
No, a single * will indicate this and hence there will always be an indicator after each player's territory count.
Must have been adjusted in a recent update.

Yes, stocksr changed it for the better. Now as you said the asterisks represent the number of countries a player must lose before he suffers a reduction in the number of armies due next turn for holding countries. The dash represents that a player is already receiving the minimum number of countries that a player receives for holding countries and therefore if he loses any more countries his bonus remains unaffected. It's very useful for informing your decision about which player should be attacked. It's a factor to consider in making that decision.

Suggested feature tweaks in the Extended statistics view:
"Estimated Armies from Cards" abbreviated to "Card Set Estimate".
"Estimated Armies from Cards" and "Strength" displayed to the nearest round number: Since both are estimates anyway nothing is gained by the decimal places.

Would prefer rounding to be an option... I find it useful as decimal places.
On another note... I have a 10 set in this game 362771 but my estimated is 10.05 in a flat rate... Is this a bug of does it take into account chance of getting 2 bonuses?

Just to add my two cents worth, I don't have a game link to back it up, but I was in an escalating game - next set was worth 15 - card estimate showed 16 ...

Just wondering if you could do something about the finished games. Unfortunately with your script, they take forever to load because the script has to be disabled or something - is there a way that you could get around that other than turning it off at the greasemonkey icon.

I agree with you C on the decimal places on the "Estimated Armies from Cards" and "Strength" columns, I think the presence of the decimal places reinforces the notion that these values are estimates (since you never actually get a fractional army in the game).
Yes, the "Estimated Armies from Cards" takes into consideration the chance of getting a 2 army bonus for each card in a set cashed. It's based on the probability of having a set to cash given the number of cards you currently hold. It's also based on the ratio of the number of countries you own to the total number of countries in the game in order to determine the likelihood that if you were to cash a set of cards you would own a country specified on a card.
The actual calculation is this:
(6 * getSetProbability(cards) * (countries / totalCountries))
where,
6 = the number of cards cashed (3) times the number of armies due for owning a country on a card cashed (2),
getSetProbability(cards) returns the probability of your having a card set based on holding a number of cards,
countries = the number of countries you own, and
totalCountries = the total number of countries in the game
6 * 1 * (19 / 42) = 2.71428
is the number of armies you can expect from the 2 army bonus for owning the country named on a card cashed in. Obviously the more countries you own the higher your bonus is likely to be.
Holding 5 cards in a flat rate game, you are likely on average have a set to cash in worth 7.333333 armies.
Hence your "Estimated Armies from Cards" is:
2.71428 + 7.333333 = 10.04761 or 10.05 rounded to two decimal places.

Completed games load fairly quickly for me, but that may be due to a difference in speed between our two computers. If it's slow for you the best way to look at a finished game would be to temporarily disable the smiling red greasemonkey icon (by left clicking on him in order to make him stop smiling and turn gray). The completed games will load faster for you then. After all there's not much of interest in the statistics table for a completed game anyway. When you want to turn your greasemonkey scripts back on simply left-click on the non-smiling gray greasemonkey icon to make him smile and turn red.
Anything else would require a programming change from stocksr I think.

Yes, not a bug. See my response to yeti_c above. It works the same way in an escalating game (with the obvious difference that you get a different number of armies for cashing in a set than you do in flat rate). The calculation for the 2 army bonus per country owned in the cashed card set is the same.
