yeah activity is flagging. So in an attempt to start a serious discussion:

Since day 1 votes are random and theres really nothing to go on, I like to spend the early parts of the game speculating on setup and possible roles. I've never been to the memebase site myself, so does anyone have an idea of which memes lean town and which lean scum?

Considering this game is heavy with post restrictions and some of them can directly allow you to conclude who has what Meme, I don't think speculating on memes that lean town/scum will do any good. They say "PRs are meant to be fun, not to cripple a player/faction", so trying to directly link one's PR to a character and then to an alignment is full of fail in my opinion.

It's like my deceased mentor "MJ" always told me: "if you want to scumhunt, doesn't matter if you're black or white". Ahhh, how I miss the old times when he'd invite me to his theme park so I could play with everyone there...

Flavor is flavor is flavor. It makes no sense to have a "good" meme be scum. In fact, not speculating on what memes could be scum or town could lead to a mislynch. Especially if we think the roles/alignment would be random as you seem to think

I'm gonna take the middle ground more or less. Rodion we can never fully eliminate flavor spec from the game. It's not going to happen and it is important. However you are correct on it being difficult to figure this one out based on how many of them there are and that it's rare for a meme to be straight forward. So at this point, I'm saying it may be too early to judge and im trying to wait on that until everyone or close to everyone has confirmed and posted to get an idea of the memes in this game.

I don't see the purpose of this response. I'm the only one trying to steer the conversation in at least some direction that helps us find scum. I'm not saying we automatically lynch those with scummy PRs. I'm saying we think analytically about what the roles could be. In what way does this hurt us?

Look at it this way. Because post restrictions are so prevalent in this game, we already have half the battle won for us in figuring out what is in the game. Whats the harm in analyzing that information?

My vote stays because of rodion's obvious attempt at stopping a serious attempt at scum-finding.

I'll tell you why flavour spec could lead us to finding scum in a non-PR heavy game: basically, because mafia is free to fakeclaim and mislead.

Example: we find that mafia in a certain game are the vampires. The vampires players can easily fakeclaim and say they are NOT vampires.

I'll tell you why this particular flavour spec cannot lead to findung scum in a PR-heavy game like this one: basically, because PRs pretty much tie mafia to their "evil" characters in a way they can't possibly deny.

Example: we find that mafia in a certain game are the vampires. Some players have a PR about "loving to suck blood". Do you see how that breaks the game and makes it 0 fun? Do you think PCM and Commander would allow something like that to happen?

The point I am trying to make is that your plan of "let's see which memes are obvscum lolz" is full of fail because most (if not all) memes can't hide who they are. And, considering that, I'm willing to bet anything that PCM/Comm didn't make it obvious and probably put some sort of spin into it.

I'm against your plan because it doesn't look apt to catch scum. Perfect example? Me! My meme is Pedobear, a bear that is constantly seen stalking children due to pedophilia. If you decide to follow your theory of good memes and evil memes it's insta-death for me. Give a little credit do PCM/Comm that they wouldn't make anything obvious like that.

The post you quoted for me had the "you're no fun" directed to Kwanton (and not to a particular "lack of game balance") as part of my "creative" decision of filling my PR requirement.
