If the U.S. had conquered Canada 70 years ago, I would not still be hanging around in a refugee camp demanding a rematch. By now, I either would have

1. Accepted the new status quo, embraced American ways, and become a full and enthusiastic American citizen, or
2. If for whatever reason the new status quo rankled too much for me to accept it, I would have packed my bags and moved to greener pastures.

I would not waste my life hanging around in a warzone, throwing rocks at the police and moaning about my fate. Nor would I sentence my children and grandchildren to wasting their lives in a similar fashion. I would choose A or B, and once having made the choice, I would firmly move ahead on my chosen path and not look back.

Israeli police have no more legal authority in the West Bank than a Saudi Arabian policeman has in downtown Toronto. If a Saudi policeman tries to arrest a woman in Toronto for wearing a skirt in public he is operating as a civilian assailant, not as a police officer, and the woman is entitled to resist his assault through lethal force.

If an Israeli policeman tries to arrest a Palestinian woman in the West Bank for violating Israeli zoning laws, he is operating as a civilian assailant, not as a police officer, and the woman is entitled to resist his assault through lethal force by the God-given right of self-defense - delivered by any means convenient and available.

This occurred in a self-governing municipality with its own, legally constituted, (Palestinian) police force that existed prior to 1967 and continues to exist today. It has houses, stores, shops, theaters, a fire department, parks, and a public square like any other town.

What you have just described (all Palestinians becoming Israeli citizens) is called the One State Solution and is supported by the Palestinian Liberation Organization. It is opposed by the current Israeli government and a majority of Israeli citizens in public polling.

Under current law, Israel prohibits the naturalization of non-Jews. Palestinian Christians and Muslims who live in the West Bank and Gaza are legally prohibited from seeking Israeli citizenship as they are considered, under Israeli law, racially inferior. (Canadian and American Christians are also prohibited from Israeli citizenship as Israeli law also considers them racially inferior - though, weirdly, the billions of welfare $s they send to prop-up the Israeli govt are okay.) In other words, Israel is similar to 1950s Mississippi except worse, because at least African-Americans were allowed the legal fiction of nominal citizenship.

Saxi, the woman on the street of Toronto is not allowed to use lethal force unless lethal force is used on her. That is Canadian law. If someone is using fists on you, you can't use a knife or a bat, you need to also use your fists, or feet. UNLESS, you are 120 lbs and your assailant is 300, maybe then you could use a bat.
