So I love this tool but had a question/suggestion. Is it possible to put in a number for unknown armies in the pathfinder? Many times in a fog game I could guess how many armies there are and I'm finding myself having to use a combination of the quick calc and pathfinder to determine if a campaign will be successful.

Had to disable the addon due to having this problem: viewtopic.php?f=506&t=141078&p=3081865#p3081865

Really like this addon so if you can fix it, that would be nice [-o<

The numbers themselves are random, when you do the math of having 3 attacking die versus 3 defending die, whether you win or lose is random, but it falls into a pattern over many tries.

The computational value given by this script is the value that you can expect to average out to over time i.e., as you play, your win % of 3v2 should approach 36.26%, 4v2 should approach 65.59%, etc.

If you ever get the chance to take even a single course in statistics, I would urge you to do so. It would open your eyes to the value of this table and help you with many other decisions in life. The chart really is good stuff.

When the winning odds are say 25% percent, then that means that 25 times out of one hundred times you should win or 75 times out of a hundred you should lose. Those are the averages that define the odds. But you do have a point. You can have a 1% percent chance of winning and by amazing luck, Be that one in a hundred that wins. Or you could have a 99% percent chance of winning and still be that one in a hundred that loses. It is all random.

I guess that the randomness lies in not knowing which of the 25 out of 100 wins will be yours. They could be the first 25 or the last or anyone in between. But 25 of those wins are yours. You just don't know which ones. =)

I didn't find this q/a anywhere, so, I like to use the Panel Interface in Game Settings but when I do Assault Odds will not show on my screen even though the options are ticked on. Is there a way to use both at the same time?

edit: i'm using Chrome.

Hey everyone - I updated chip's script to work with the new panel system. I have not tested it with BOB, because I no longer run BOB.

It's a limited fix - it does *not* properly check for latest version and all that jazz. It DOES, however, add back Assault Odds to the game page below the map. Enjoy! :)

Get it here: http://userscripts.org/scripts/show/284027 (Make sure to uninstall your previous version.)
