Surrender option
I'm sure this has been suggested before, but it would cool if there was a "surrender" option. There's games you know you're going to lose and rather than waiting a slow painful death, how about a giving up?
Your units would just become neutral.
Lots of times, people who know they are going to lose just stop playing and everyone else needs to wait for 24hours for each of their turn.

In terminator.... make it so that
1. calculate the average of remaing players' score, use that in formulas as "eliminating player's score"
2. DOUBLE the points you loose - this should be enough to make it sure you really wanna quit if you hit the surrender button
3. Share the points to each remaing player.
There might be other questions too with surrender situations, but they all can be solved reasonably. I find it stupid that "because it was misused" the possibility is not there (anymore); any misusing possibilities can be eliminated by making people loose points the same way they do if they just deadbeat away.

The problem I see is that people might end up surrendering games they might otherwise win...
First off, with the number of people who accidently hit End Attacks instead of Attack, or End Fortification instead of Fortify, imagine the complaining if they accidently hit Surrender instead of Begin Turn...
Second, I just completed a game where in the first turn I blew all of my armies on almost all my countries trying to get a card... in a no cards game. It was stupid, and I was fairly certain I was toast. 13 rounds later and I won the game because none of the other players took advantage of my weakened position or they did try but had bad dice rolls. Would have sucked to have surrendered the game and not gotten the 70 points for winning.

Merged this your thread with the original that is on the Rejected end of Lacks to do list. This was an original feature but was abused way to much and would be again if it ever came back.

Admit defeat button?
It would be nice if there was a way that you could admit defeat in the game. I would assume that all of your armies would turn into computer pieces and that you would take a points penalty, but it would be handy.

Surrender? *Rejected*
I know this was previously taken down because people surrendered to stop others from gaining cards.
However, I think that this option should still be available because some games are already won by a player and it is just wasting time for all players in the game.
So how about this: when a players surrenders, his armies do NOT become part of "Neutral Player". Whoever takes him out still gets his cards. The only difference would be that the surrendered player no longer have turns to take.
Of course, this does not affect Terminator.

this topic has been discussed in various incarnations many, many times. and many, many times it has been said by Lack and other high ups that the surrender button will not be coming back. It's even under Lack's list of rejected ideas.

drop a game?
I'm sure this has been discussed before so I apologize if I'm beating a dead horse, but is there any reason why we can't drop a game?
The few games I've played on here, when people start doing bad, they just stop taking their turns which makes everyone else have to wait days on end before they can take their turn. Eventually the person gets booted out for missing 3 turns in a row. If that person had the option to just drop out of a game, there would be less dead beats and for those of us logged in a lot, we wouldn't have to wait for them to get kicked out.
Dropping the game is the end result anyway...it just takes a LONG time for people to get there.
