Although at first confused by the zone defense of Northern Illinois and playing much of the first half as in a fog, Temple was able to rally late and win in 11 rounds behind its hot long range shooting which really annihilated any chance of victory for NI.

Are you going by each teams pre season schedule? I'm wondering if I can see who I'm going to play over the coming weeks so I can get a little practice on the boards I'm not familiar with.....

Go Beavers!

I'll be sending out reminders to players that have not yet joined and am working on a better way of sending games out, so they can be joined quickly.

I'll try to post the conference schedule on the thread a couple weeks out, so you can see who's upcoming...give me until tonight on that one.

george washington got wrecked by bc in the season opener.

GW's coach is still hopeful, saying that his team just needs to get its "swagger" back

Early results are in...and the top-20 poll has been released...see the start of the thread for all the details.

As requested the upcoming set of matchups is posted...game #s will be added Thursday. I will follow this format throughout the season, so teams can at least see who they have coming up next.

Standings will soon be posted...the order through the season will be ...
1) Newsletter
2) Games and upcoming schedule
3) Standings
* as they will appear in the posts at the start of the thread.

I love this tournament, season, and set-up but the Auburn fans are considering a riot after spending the entire 07-08 season in the top 10 leading to their Championship run, returning all 5 starters only to be snubbed out of the top 20!

The Game 2 batch has been posted...and game results updated through Wednesday night.

In the Game 2 list...many of the tournament matchups are listed...pms will go out for those games as the games become possible.

I'll try sending pms each Monday and Thursday with a link to the thread to make it easier to join games hopefully :)

Also, reminders have been sent out to all players who haven't joined their first games yet.

Game 2 — Georgia Tech @ Creighton - Game 3563306

Creighton's defense sucks but 3-pointers saved us and gave the win to amazzony. Also, our court might of helped us.

MudPuppy, coach of Georgia Tech wrote:You certainly have a colorful court here at Creighton. The rainbow effect has made the Jackets dizzy.

Game 2 of the Coaches vs Cancer tourney: Game 3567042

#8 Duke beats somehow-unranked Kansas State. What I assumed to be an easy match up when I saw KSU not ranked quickly turned into the Blue Devils being the underdog against the amazing Benjikat!

Final notices have been sent to the seven players that have failed to join Game 1s. Adjustments will be made as needed by the end of the weekend...thanks for your patience.

Also, I anticipate putting up the first installment of standings late tonight/early Saturday

If you're missing a Game 2 it's because you are in a tournament that is still awaiting first-round games to be completed. I will send out those tournament matchups via pm as the matchups can be set.
