flexmaster33 wrote:shouldn't it be 6 games will be made for players every two weeks (3 times)...that would equal 18 games...the way you have it would be only 12.
maybe I'm reading that wrong, but you may want to doublecheck...
Actually, there's a little mistake in the first post. It should be:
Every 2 weeks (3 times in total) 4
home games will be made for everybody. That would have mean that overall everybody will get 12 home maps aka 3 extra games if there would be screw-ups with joining. The system is taken from previous season because yorkiepeter was running the league alone and he didn't have extra help like we have (
mass msg program), so he used a simpler way and didn't tell people exact game numbers but just told them to look up their division games and join with people who they haven't played (alright, that's not important and I'm bad at explaining

).
Anyway, point being, a few hours before your post, we (amazzony and simor, the organisers

) were discussing how to make the players life easier and decided to use the system that you mentioned (6 games per 2 weeks - 3 home and 3 away teams). simor made a chart that will help us to keep track of who plays who which week and that way everybody will be happier
I just didn't have time to update the first post.
Hope it answers

flexmaster33 wrote:Is there some kind of playoff format at the end or is it just the 18-game regular season?
We have something in mind so each season could also have a winner, the best of the best, but we haven't worked out the details yet.
barterer2002 wrote:I'm afraid I'm going to decline but thanks for saving me a slot. I've got too many things going and am trying to cut back (somewhat unsuccessfully)
Thanks for letting us know, somebody will get your lucky spot
Attention!
1v1 Singles League seems to be
full and with a lot of reserves (can't say exactly how many of you will be reserves but you will be messaged in a few days and told your statues) so we are almost ready to start. If you still wish then you can sign up as a reserve
We'll be starting with the league in 2-3 days (we'll give some time for reserves spots to take their place, freemiums to free 2 spots and work out final things for ourselves).
Cya in a few days!
amazzony & simor
PS Any questions or problems - post here. Or in a case of an emergency:
amazzony
One more important thing.
If you wish to change your map or other settings for this season then do it in the next 48 hours. After that changes won't be accepted (unless there's a really good reason).

There's room for reserves. If you wish in then give me your home settings:
Map, Fortifications, Cards, fog preference
mcloven, you are also in as reserve for now
Thanks for letting us know, keiths.

Both of you have been added as reserves
Now, please, everybody check 2nd post in first page and make sure that your settings are the ones that you like and wish to play for the next 6 weeks
We'll start in a day or 2, depending solely on how we'll find time because starting it takes a lot of time (making games, preparing messages etc). Some patience
Cheers,
amazzony & simor

You were close

I'm forming new divisions as we speak and you are the last person from previous season to get in
btw, I'm assuming that England=British Isles?

Announcement
I've formed Divisions for Season 4. Highest rank players were moved to 1st three Divisions, the rest of people from last season were just moved up to highest available Division and new people to the League were put to the last Divisions.
As you can see, we have a long reserves list (we'll be messaging every and each of them and asking if they wish to stay in the list). If you want out of the reserve list then just let us know
What's the benefit of being in the reserve list?
There's always a chance to get to the game when we have people leaving. And what's more important - if you are a reserve but don't get to play this season then you'll be the first one that we turn to when we need players for season 5.

Good luck with the tourney amazzony, should be awesome. In lieu of my letter I am guessing there wasn't any slots in other divisions. Thought that would have at least put me on the reserve list near the top because I was a season 2 & 3 participant.

Scoreboard is up

simor has worked for the past 5 hours with it and now everybody can see their final divisions. Nothing will be changed anymore and we'll be making games tomorrow (right now it's kinda late where we live). So, free your spaces, get your spirit ready and tomorrow the big Singles League will begin
Again, thank you all for joining and may the best 1v1 players prove themselves!
Cheers,

Just a quick question. At the end of the season, will there be some sort of playoff or Champions league that will form out of this? Or are we playing to try to move up the division ladder and whoever wins Division 1 each season will be considered the winner? Just curious, since this is a league and not really a tournament.
DS
next season then
