Well its been 48 hours since pm's went out.

It would be really unfair to have to replace anyone who has been victorious in Round 1, but there are time limits to adhere to.

I will send a final notice pm to those players who have not joined games as of yet, and if all games have not been joined in the next .... well I'll give it 36 hours, then those players will be replaced.

I'll very much regret having to replace anyone, so:

Attn: Vsezgin, Gold Knight and Bad Speler, please join your games ASAP, and Caspertk, you have one more game to join.

If anyone knows these players, feel free to send them a reminder and let them know they are possibly going to be removed from the tourney.

Why not play without them. Make new games with the amount of players that have joined. I would have done that.

i think it's fair to wait 1 more day, but indeed if the don't join today it is a bit too late, would suck though.

i indeed forgot to join 1 game unintentionally, have joined the 6th game now

All games are underway -

Vsezgin has been removed, which has left a difficulty as the games need to be 6 player games as the points involved for each position make a difference. As well, as three players advance, it would be an unfair advantage to have 5 player games.

I've thought about this, and the best solution I can come up with is that I will play a filler position in these games. I am not eligible to receive any prizes in the tourney, but am eligible to advance into the next round should my points qualify me. Again, even should I advance I am not eligible to receive any prize.

I thought a great deal about placing a live player into Vsezgin's position, but in all honesty, I do not think it would be fair to so. This tournament is structured to be cruel/punishing for missing turns, and there is advantage gained by the remaining players for someone missing a turn/turns. As only 11 players are now eligible for the two free CC memberships, I see this as advantage gained in the fashion I was hoping for. Adding another live player to replace Vsezgin did not seem to me to provide advantage to the other players.

Lufsen asked a very good question, and I think it would only be fair if I should start with 42 points, and not the points of the player I am filling in for.

Page 1 has been updated.

And a sidenote - I have received a private message from Vsezgin who is very sorry, he was not able to log in and missed joining the games by a short period of time.

I want to personally apologize to Vsezgin, I really wish I had known that a little more time would have made it possible for him to join the games. I would most certainly would have waited. As I had no information, I made the decision I thought best for the circumstances

Wow. I am in the final round. I have altleast 21 points secured and that make me atleast 2nd in the group total. I have to thank my first round to get to the last.

Remember, in Round 3 points are only issued for finishing 1,2 or 3 in each game, and it is a lot of points.
