Collin K is a narcissist, an opportunist and a hypocrite. He was raised with wealth and Privilege and knows nothing about the reality of poor people, especially poor people of color. If he really understood or cared about their lives, he would make the epidemic of black on black homicide his cause celeb instead of vilifying the people of law enforcement. Most police genuinely care about the people they are pledged to protect and people like kappernick disparaging them is a disservice to the communities he claims to be supporting.
As for the NFL "black listing" him, teams make personnel decisions based on a wide variety of factors. The impact of negative publicity and the potential of alienating a large percentage of their fan base as well as the local law enforcement they depend on weigh into that decision. Not surprising no one wants to sign him.

Please let me know where Colin Kaepernick vilifies the people of law enforcement. BLM activists and him tend to take the controversial opinion that cops shouldn't get away with murdering people, an absurdly disproportionate number which happen to be black.
Even if he wasn't raised in poverty, he knows how it feels to be treated as black in America, since, you know, he's a black man in America.
The fact that some fans fed a diet of Fox News might think he'd be distracting doesn't make that OK. The fact that Ben Roethlisberger assaults women and Colin Kaepernick is a distraction for having political opinions is interesting.

How is this relevant? Granted, Tebow was a running quarterback like Kaepernick, but that's where the similarity ends. There was nothing remotely political about the end of his career. Three different teams gave him a fair shot but none could teach him how to throw. A great fullback, but if you can't throw, you're not going to make it. An unsupported running game is like sending out tanks with no infantry or artillery behind them.

Tebow was known and hated for a public display (in this case kneeling on one knee after a touchdown). Kaepernick was known for taking a knee at the National Anthem. Both were, at best mediocre Quarterbacks who might have been a backup, assuming a coach knew how to use them (Jets quarterbacks in Tebow's case can't use anyone correctly ... and their record proves it). Both were not signed because their baggage outweighed their benefit to the team ... in short because they were bad to mediocre.

There really isn't anything "political" in either case just as there wasn't anything "anti-religion" in either case. The squeaky wheel gets replaced.

Colin Kaepernick literally has the 21st best passer rating in NFL history Sure, passer rating is far from a perfect measure of QB performance, but this is still a bananas-crazy comparison. Do you remember how bad Tim Tebow was as a NFL quarterback? And how Kaep could actually pass the ball to people?

Tebow served three years, two with the Broncos and one with the Jets. We can ignore the Jets (I will explain why later).
I'm also going to ignore his first year 2010 as few people have really good years.
His second year isn't all that bad, there a number of interesting factors, one being high sack and fumble numbers, and of course a lack of long distance passing accuracy.
And that leads us to the Jets, who saw his rushing ability and used him as a one trick pony. If the D saw him behind the center they knew that the play was a QB rush. They really needed to have him attempt the short distance passing plays because the receivers would be much more open when everyone wants to sack the QB at the line. That in turn would open up his rushing ability. But then again, as I know all too well, Jets' managers suck.

Looking at Kaepernick, I see a definite better performance, but really only in his last year. That's before you factor that the one was behind the line of the Broncos and the other was behind the line of the 49ers (which in and of itself is a major difference). I'm not going to be in a rush to make him my starting QB (unless I somehow managed to take over the Jets and then I'll be desperate to find any second line QB for a starter). And he doesn't play well as a second fiddle. Tebow, on the other hand, assuming you manage him correctly, was more than happy to be a second fiddle.

But, I mean, stats, though

Tebow couldn't hit Eric Decker or Demariyus Thomas. Those are some very good wideouts he consistently underthrew by 5 yards.
