Hehe, yeah, I knew that. I just wanted you to admit that it was the mindset that was the real issue.
...and I kind of wanted to hear you say that your hands were bound for the mean time.

You know I am... I think we all need one.

There was plenty of that in Spamalot… If you like it, you should have dropped by more often. Though several parties had me and Vincent swinging naked from chandeliers… and s.xkitten hitting on Cynthia… But you know. All in good fun :D

I applaud AK. The deletion of Spamalot almost makes me want to come back to the forums again...

Wait a minute...

Hmm… What did I miss? What's so special about mach?

After reading over 30 pages on the matter:

I fully back Ak in his decision, I'm suprised it wasn't done sooner. I argued with hecter about it a few times, but yeah he doesn't really listen.

The forums used to be fun, one of the main reasons I played the game was the community.

I left because the game wasn't so fun anymore... it wasn't fulfilling.

Now I see a step in the right direction.

Maybe I'll be back in a while.

... but not for a while anyway.

Shout out to mach while I'm here...

*gone again*

 wow we are really hated here, eh?

One thing: The forum will be just the same with or without the spamalot thread for you. Just one more thread in the whole forum. You won't even notice it's there.

But for us, we will continue having our little fun in our thread.. no harm done  We actually really liked it there. Maybe it's hard for some of you to understand, and I get that. You don't like random conversations, and you don't like us. But hey - we will still be here (at least I will). Just a bit more miserable because our favourite thread and our group was taken away from us.

Okay, I'm done now.

Okay, I'm done now.

People seem to think that our thread encourages spam on other threads. That is false. I've said it once and I'll say it again. If you find a Spamalot member spamming a thread that doesn't deserve to be spammed, TELL ME!

No thread deserves to be spammed. And tell ME, or any other mod.

King of the Hill? Longest Thread Thread? And on my post that I think is on the seventh page, I also said to tell you guys.

Here it was. 8th page.

hello, I am a complete outsider as i never saw your thread.. (maybe I should just shut up!)
I think you should be able to have your own place. I know what it can be like to write something and it be lost forever, accepting for the shadow of half glanced memories.
Having read a large chunk of the subsequent threads, it certainly seems to have meant a lot to you all.

When i first got here, not so long ago, the forums were rife with verbal vandalism. A thread was built and the yutemen tagged it, kicked it down and made it fit for nothing other than testament to the schism in the community.

I make no judgement regarding Spamalot being directly to blame. I have to say though that in the past few days the Forum is a lot calmer and not so rammed with unreadable nonsense.

Who knows it could be due to the Spamaloters reaching out from its alcove. It could be an atmosphere of thought has fallen all about us; whatever it is it's nice.

I think you have probably been made scapegoats for many of the ills in the forums but there was so much wrong that people are taking the opportunity to vent.

Anyway i vote that you guys have your own space and that this respectful truce; in which humour triumphs over abuse and debate over banality, is upheld.

That doesn't make sense. I mean, we're all still here, we just dont have our thread. If anything, things should get worse. We don't have anywhere specific to "spam" now. Me for instance, I've noticed that since our thread was deleted I've posted more in other threads.

Same. I've reached out, and I've noticed several of our members have also. jimiski, you said yourself that you never saw our thread. That means that you've probably never been in the social lounge, as our thread was almost always at the top of the page. So, since you don't visit the forums like we do, you don't have as much of an idea what it's like out there.

Did you read the whole thing Cynthia?
I think what i am implying is that the perhaps disproportionate action taken by AK. has changed things. Perhaps it gave a focus to debate on. And you all coming out could well be the reason for that debate.
I can only talk about how i feel and for whatever reason the formums are better.

i'll take that.. i have no idea about the Social.
Flame and General are the only places i frequent. And they are more reasonable now in my opinion.

Anyway i shall now apply my own suggestion and shut up!

Ya… But look at your signature. "Black enemy of Spamalot". Kinda asking for it don't you think? But I will tell them to stop okay.

 No it won't be the same. We're also a part of conquerclub. And This is the place where we all met. And we would like new players here to notice us and join us (if they seem cool) too.

OK now that I feel like I know most of the events that transpired I'll give an opinion whether people think its important or not (probably not) is up to them.

I'm not gonna pretend I know everything about the history of spamalot and anti-spamalot factions (check the post count.....I'm a newbie even after 100 games). However, I believe AK was completely within his rights to delete the thread. Both sides had good arguments but it is ultimately at a moderator's discretion what threads to delete. This whole argument was about whether or not AK was "bullying" members of Spamalot and abusing his powers to further his personal agenda. Again, the ultimate decision is up to the mod. The means in which these events transpired may paint AK in a bad light and the fact that he specifically targeted a group of people was wrong, I'll give you that, but mods are granted power to use at their discretion so I'll repeat: AK was completely within his rights to delete the thread.

On a personal not my encounters with spam have left me with a sour taste. Most spam is just stupid and detracts from the conversation but clever spam in moderation is fine. I know not all members of Spamalot are stupid (Hecter seems helpful when help is needed) yet some Spamalot members seem like they are posting just for attention and post count. But that's not what this argument is about is it? So just pay attention to that second paragraph there which is my 2 cents on this argument.

People's thoughts?
