Okay, 69 games running. 2 with invites out, 2 still to be made, + needed tiebreakers.

The scores will be verified before we move on, but thanks for catching that error, manchild1.

I will be unable to update the score sheet until Saturday. I MAY be able to make needed games, if any come up. So just hold your horses, we won't be updating for a few days. ;)

Okay, a LOT more games recorded...

8 of the Groups have finished their first round games. 3 of those are getting tiebreakers to determine the second advancing player.

The first tiebreaker is complete, and congratulations to wombat4 for being the first player to advance out of Group D!

So far, only one player has advanced undefeated out of the first round (congratulations, freyme), and only one other player has the possibility to match that feat.

The last freemium games for round 1 are being sent out, so the end of this round is within sight... Some of us (like, oh, me) won't be advancing to round 2... Let us with those who did make it well!

A few more games finished. Every Group that has finished it's 15 games and is either done or in tiebreakers has had the results double-checked.

There is a new Tiebreaker for Group I, 3-ways, for two spots. First game is out.

We now have 2 (and will only have 2) players undefeated in the first round. Congratulations, Timminz! ...technically, reahma could also have finished with 5 wins... but reahma and Timminz shared a group - only one of them could get it.

Status Update: 10 games running.

3 are tiebreakers, for Groups D, E, and I.

Group A's last game is determining if they'll be having 1 TB for the second spot, or 2 for both spots.
The last Games for Groups B, K, and O likewise determine how their advancement/TBs will shape up.
Group G has 2 games running, one vital to the playoff picture...
...and Group J also has 2 games running, but already knows who's advancing.

We're getting there, but round two isn't exactly... imminent.

...(note to self: should have left the HtH results as part of the tiebreakers)

Group B complete, going to a tiebreaker for the second spot.
Groups E, G, I: Tiebreakers Running.

Group D&L: Tiebreakers Complete.
Groups C, F, H, J, M, N - no tiebreakers needed/done.

All other groups pending. (A, K, O)

More results posted.

Still running:
> Last game of Group K - looks like they won't need a tiebreaker.
> 4 tiebreakers in progress - 2 to follow them.

Then the first round will be done, I'll reseed, and we'll move on.

Down to 3 tiebreakers, 2 still to follow. A&I first tiebreaker games look like they're winding down, so they should be on their final games shortly.

Tripitaka won the last tiebreaker... Round 1 is over!

Round 2s games will be out by... Saturday Afternoon, hopefully sooner. Work schedule is weirder than usual this week, however.
(which is saying something, let me tell you)

Round 2 games are all created, all invites sent.

No freemiums made it to Round 2. :( If you lose premium at some point, please let me know, it will affect scheduling of future rounds, but the tournament is designed to be able to handle it.

I tried to check the invites as they were sent, and caught one bad one (remade that game). if you find yourself playing someone you don't think is in the tournament... TELL/ASK me, please. If you think a game's settings are wrong, ask me.

Note: it took just over a month for the first round (games made Sep 28), which was longer than I expected... a lot of tiebreakers, however, and there should be fewer of those going forward.

Yarrr! Play on!

Over half the initial games in Round 2 already finished.

For those wondering: 4 games is obviously enough to advance. 3 games is almost certainly enough. It IS mathematically possible to win 3 games, and be forced to a playoff you can't advance from... but with a sample size of only 6 divisions, I'll be quite surprised if it happens.
3-1, 3-1, 3-1, 1-3, 0-4 is the only possible setup for that.
4-0, 3-1, 3-1, 0-4, 0-4 is not an achievable result, doubly falsifiable...
1)How do 2 teams that play each other both go 0-4?
2) With a 4-0 sweep, that's the loss for both 3-1s... what happened when THEY played?
I do foresee more playoffs than I had originally expected among 2-2 players, though... oops. ;)

have 3-1 then, hopefully enough to advance then? (Unless there's the 3-way tie?)

That's how the math works out, yes.

3 divisions finished, no tiebreakers yet.

A fourth division, F, while not finished, has determined who advances. Tripitaka and keiths31 have both won 3 games, and are contesting to see who will go 3-1, and whom 4-0... no one else in the division has more than 2 wins, so they will both advance, regardless of the final game's outcome.

A is to early to call, and C is waiting on the last game's results.

Group A is locked in, with one game running. The two players involved will each end up with 1 or 2 wins, and do not affect who advances.

Waiting on the last game of Group C, which will generate either a tiebreaker or advancing players.
