While a map of Hyrule would be a welcome addition to the CC Atlas, it's going to fall foul of copyright. The only way to make it work would be to remove all references to anything connected to the games - which would take away the spirit of the map.
Sadly it's going to be a no-go

Well i am lazy but i suggest somebody makes a map that is based around the land of Hyrule from the Legend Of Zelda series. You could have the main regions of Hyrule Field, Gerudo Valley, Zora River, Death Mountain, and The Forest. They could then be divided into different zones of North, South, ect... or even specific Locations in that regions such as Kakariko Village in Death Mountain region. You might even be able to include the Triforce into it somehow. So yeah feel free to add onto these idea's or just ignore it.

Usually this sort of idea wouldn't go here but the foundry is currently going through some pretty large scale re-organization, so I don't really know where it will be moved to.

Geez, I guess I need to be less long-winded. Screw it, I put this together, I'm posting it anyway.
It's always nice to see new posters in the Foundry forum, but I do have to mention two things:
- Most work is on hold here in the Foundry right now (check here for the full story, but the pertinent part is below:
MrBenn wrote:Foundry Refurbishment
Over recent weeks there has been some interesting debate about foundry processes; prior to and during this discussion, the Foundry Team has been planning some changes to the way we operate things. The Boys in Blue will be carrying out some refurbishment over the Christmas holidays, and the Foundry Forums (with the exception of Final Forge/Foundry Discussions) will close over the weekend of Dec 12/13th, and will remain closed for business until the end of the year. The map development forums (except the Final Forge) will be hidden from public view during this time: While mapmakers will be able to continue working on their maps behind the scenes, there will be no development thread to edit or update. The vacation period should encourage people to look at maps with 'fresh eyes', as well as giving the opportunity for the CAs to get everything restructured with minimal disruption.
Please raise your glasses, and give three cheers for a New and Improved Foundry!
Hip Hip Hooray!
- Unless you have an inside track with Nintendo and can get their permission to use the Zelda elements, copyright restrictions mean that no Hyrule map will appear here at CC.
Once the Foundry is fully functioning again, please bring your ideas and suggestions for new maps to whatever forum is (re)established as the sounding board for such things. The Foundry Tips and Discussions forum is more oriented to talk about
how the Foundry does its work, rather than any particular map.

Yeah, Nintendo copyright issues will nix a map specifically set in the LoZ universe(Hyrule) Although you could think about doing a clone-type fantasy map. 8 Dungeon areas with specific weapons, life containers for extra troops... um overland basic territories to explore between the dungeons, a town, a shop here or there as territories. And a victory condition might be hold the Grand Sword + Bow&Golden arrows + Monster in Dungeon 8(big neutral value) and the Princess. Or something along those lines.... Another not bad idea might be an 8-bit tribute map to those games we all grew up on.... vines, monkeys, plumbers, princess's, blocky football players, etc. could be good.
We are renovating, and this thread will hang around here for a couple days or so, so everyone who wants to see it can, then it'll likely be moved to its proper spot in the new revamped Foundry ready for further posts when the Foundry reopens in the New Year.
