Up to this point we have had 7 players drop out of the tournament. So I am doing my best to alter the match ups accordingly, in the event that you are playing against someone that you have already played, please just play on. Also I may need 1 or 2 alternates for the next round, or to have 1 or 2 games proceed as foursomes. Let me know what you all think is best. The next rounds games are all being played on the North American map. Get your "A" games out and good luck.

I'd say you're better off making games four players rather than adding alternates.

yeh but how will the scoring go then ??? 4th=1 3rd=2 2nd=3 1st=5 ? or 4th = 0 and so on soi donno i thinkit is better to add an alternate just because of the scoring... and the alternate does not need to gain any points.... just matters wat place the tourny ppl came in because if it was four and 4th got 0 taht would mean 1st would get 4 points 2nd would get 2 and 3rd would get 1.. so it just doesnt seem fair to the ppl who have worked hard to win the game.... so i would say add alternates

at long last the 3rd round games have been sent out to everyone.... I think I might get away with just moving players around..... maybe... I will keeo everyone posted and I would trust that you will do the same for me. Great stuff so far everyone.

If we are going to go 4 I would say the fairest thing to do would be to break the scoring down to 1=4,2=2,3=1,4=0... or something like that.... but this route may cause some confusion for me when I am tallying up the points(which are updated also, just find your name and let me know if there has been a mistake in my math....lol)

I don't have the knowledge on how to create any nifty tables or anything on here to make the standings more visually appealing but I am open to suggestions.

k im understanding wat your trying to do but if it is a 4 player game and the winner only gets 4 taht isnt fair because the winner of another game gets 5 so it would make more sense to add alternates... im not trying to make this harder for u jus trying to help out

The only problem with the alternative is finding replacement players. I have sent out a few messages but if anyone knows players that would be interested please let me know. Thanks.

DB I don't see any need to change the point system just cuz some tables might only be 4 players. Leaving it as status quo seems fair for those who played b4 and are continueing on. Your not losing anything by not changing the points since the 5th player still get ZERO points even if they have dropped out of the tourney. They just get their NO POINTS right away for not being invited to play anymore. Seems the simple solution to me so why make it confusing for every1? Well ... that's my 2 cents worth!

That's what I was thinking. I mean it doesn't really matter, 4 or 5... I was just concerned that some players might might feel that there is an advantage to playing with only 4 players. If I am going to go with any 4 player games then the top 3 will get points, same as a 5 player game, and the 4th place will get the "E"..... that is the fairest way I think. Thanks for the feedback on this issue.
Once again this may all be for not, as I may be able to work with the players I have just by moving some people around. I will keep everyone posted.
