I believe round 21

Lufsen75 wrote:I would say that or 22. But he took it to be in top of point league with Waterloo

Thx--I tried for that map about 3 times, lol! Oh well, I won the Doodle map from Daring Overlord5, and he held onto the USApocalypse map. I'll PM you my new setting on Tues., thx.

(Just checking so i know 100% sure)

Yes as it is now.
thekidstrumpet wrote:From the looks of things it looks like freestyle will be eliminated all together, I just need to confirm things with Lufsen.

But as it looks like in the poll Freestyle are eliminated from Round 25

cool, then when round 25 begins you automaticly change the settings list yeah? just checking

and otherwise I would want to challenge "Australia" in R24

and you said in the pm you sent out that we can do two challenges, am I right? if so could I be put up in brackets on "Hong Kong"
(cause then I'm put up for in brackets on "American Civil War" from R23 and "Hong Kong" in this round, R24)
am I right?

The brackets you can sign up as many as you like. It is just that you made a challenge that went a bracket that made us say to you that you could make two challenges this round cause the other in round 23 we took away from you. But australia is now up for you. You have a challenge for round 23 to make if I make myself mor clear.

aha, cool ^^ then add me up for a challenge for "Middle Earth" in R23 and I got a challenge for "Australia" in R24, right?

and I suppose you send out a pm about when you can sign up for the abandoned maps ;) I'll be there for them all because I find I got the same opinion as barterer2002 ;) haha

So to muddy the waters here, since we're doing away with freestyle and Baldy is coming back at that, shouldn't he keep his maps or did he relinquish them and have to go forward from that. Personally I think he should keep them, I like a good competition and I'd hate to lead by default.

Right after I got ruled against in the freestyle set up. I reckon that's why Benjikat is through with it too, otherwise he'd take back Waterloo already.
If the champion can have freestyle and the challenger has to join first, then the champion starts every game. I can win 80% of the time going first (even more with no cards, or on a big map) but only 50% going second. That only leaves about a 7% chance of losing a map. Too much stagnation.

Drop freestyle (or just the rule) and add more games and I'll start challenging again. Weather permitting. ;)

So wait, the champion gets to choose freestyle and then gets to force the challenger to join first. I totally disagree with that ruling. It seems to me that the champ gets to pick the settings and should have to join first. To me this also would apply to fog games and really any game where there is an issue. If the challenger joins first its fine but if there is a disagreement between the two the home team takes the field first IMO.

That is why things will change. From round 25 it will be 3 games where the owner will choose his settings by free except for freestyle that are forbidden.

I'm not sure if Baldy will come back, he wanted 5 or 7 game series to determine a champ. Also no there isn't freestyle anymore so what you wrote should not be a problem.

I'd still like to see more than 3 games. With that few, 1/4 of all series make one player start every game. Just two more games makes it 1/16. Even if they fall 4-1, I'd rather try to win 2/4 from second than 2/3.

The fact that a particular ruling may have benefited me does not make it one that I agree with.

Successfully defended both British Isles (2-1) and Iraq (2-0 with one to go). Who's next?
