There used to be one, it was removed, it's not coming back.

The card issue is the only relevant one. If someone wants to be so lame as to have their friend "concede" to them for points, they will do it with or without the button.

Is there a way you can install a resignation button during a game. Several times games have lasted longer than I thought and I have to go away on vacation or business. However other players have to wait three goes before they can move the game forward. I am currently playing a game where there is only 2 of us left. My opponent has now said he is away hunting, but I still have to keep going for three more days.

This will stop people being called deabeats because of other commitments. It would also clear down dead games quicker so saving space and bandwidth.

Please check the other topics. This has been suggested and denied over and over and over, at least for year and a half I have been here.

a better solution instead of dead beating would be have a friend or someone on CC watch ur turns for u.. Change ur password to something before u leave, give that password to ur friend and then change it back when u return.. that way they can take ur turns for u while ur away..

I do not have a team to play with or friends who get involved, therefore not possible, giving away my password is also not an option, sorry, but security in this world is important.

join a clan, play in tournaments, lots of way to meet reliable people on the site.. this suggestion has been rejected lots of times..

it would make multi and point dumping so much easier..

also ur worried about someone stealing ur fun online gaming account that if that was to happen u could send an eticket and get it sorted out?

There used to be a Surrender option back when the site first started, but it was removed because it was prone to abuse, and I'm pretty sure it will never be reinstated.

I'd suggest you follow the advice of the previous posters in this topic; if you're going away, change your password to something completely unrelated to your normal password, and give an account-sitter that password. In the Tournaments and Clans sections of the forum, it's pretty easy to meet a lot of new people, many of whom will be more than happy to sit your account for a few days.

One solution that satisfies an obvious genuine desire to not make others wait would be an Auto Turn option. If added u, could tell the game (by picking fromt hese example options_

"At start of turn, deploy all troops on lowest Alphabetic territory/highest army, then attack until dead/down to 3 men/until one territory taken" Hopefully simple to code but also as it naturally won't play in the smartest way, stops any abuse from people setting up 15,000 games just so they can automate it and hope to farm their way to the top!

I could maybe support something like this, although very dumbed down. More like the "away" or "fold to any bet" button I'm used to on poker sites. If it's clicked, everyone knows it's clicked for that person because their name shows "away" or something, and when it's their turn, it just automatically skips their turn instead of waiting 24 hours. Anything that autodeploys, or autoattacks (even worse), I would definitely be against.

that would just be like a surrender button. i could click that i'm away just because i don't want to play the game any more. then it's just like conceding

Sort of, but the game wouldn't just automatically end right then, it would just skip their turns the same way they would if they were deadbeating, without wasting the other players' time. And freemiums would still have to wait 3 turns before they were kicked from the game, and thus they wouldn't be able to concede every time they didn't win a 3v3 on their first turn, just to get more games. Since I play mostly multiplayer and not 1v1, I'd be all for something like this. Let the deadbeats deadbeat, they're going to anyway, but this way the game moves along faster.

i still think i'm not completely understanding this correctly. if i click the away button.. i skip my turn allowing for the opponent to take their turn faster and not wait 24 hours. but say i just wanted to give up. i click away and then they get three turns and then i would be kicked for missing too many turns. so it allows for me to deadbeat much faster? this in essence is just saying that i don't want to play anymore so i'll click away. go ahead and take your turns, you'll win anyways. OR i'll start 50 1 v 1, click i'm away and let all my points get dumped. OR i'll click away and concede you the game

I guess it would work that way in 1v1, allowing you to deadbeat really fast to someone playing RT. As I mentioned, I don't like 1v1 so I don't play it all that much. I still don't see that being a big issue, as if they were trying to cheat or point dump they could just as easily suicide. This change wouldn't help a whole lot in multiplayer (other than cutting down the time to deadbeat by 72 hours), so I don't see that being as much of an issue. In multiplayer, I'd rather the people deadbeat than suicide because they want out of the game. This would allow them to do that.

Another important point is that the player can come back from being "away". It would be exactly like them missing the turn, except they wouldn't have to wait 24 hours. If I know that I'm not going to be able to take my turns tomorrow, I can set my stuff to away if I don't have a sitter. All of my games auto-skip me, and the game moves along. I show back up day after tomorrow, and get my deferred troops, etc.

Not really a big deal, but it gets obnoxious seeing that suggestion daily. I just think maybe it should be made clear to stop the waste of forum space.

not that i see this being implemented, but what if while i'm away i miss 3 turns? you say you'll come back the next day but it may be too late.

True. I'm not sure it's a great idea, I just think it would prevent having to sit around waiting for deadbeats.

Point Dumping, Surrendering Round 1, Etc.

And back then your game count didn't decrease when you died so if anything the abuse suffered back then was minimal.

I spent a while searching for this thread to prevent duplication but I would like to suggest the following change to the template from:

<DELETE ME>
PLACE A CONCISE DESCRIPTION OF THE SUGGESTION OR BUG IN THE SUBJECT LINE!!!

The dice ARE random, lots and lots of analysis has been done on them both internally and by community members.

Search for previous suggestion or bug reports and check stickies before posting something "new".

Delete or replace any xxxxxxx with the appropriate information.
Delete any entires which do not apply.
</DELETE ME>

To:

There will not be a change to the deferring of troops after a missed turn
Nor shall we reintroduce a Suicide button

Those two bold lines should cut down on what I perceive to be the two main repetitions of the same idea.

Looks like a bitch thread so here we go. If this is a for real sugg then you will have to forgive my mis understanding.

Well I'm tired of the shit "random" dice.

Peeps wouldn't want to resign games if the dice were "random"

This isn't a joke thread. I remembered the Anti-Resigns being-suggested-all-the-time thread. So I though I'd post my solution here rather than make a new thread
