This idea has been proposed many times... with the tendency some people have shown for taking a path of least resistance to gain points, the cons outweigh the pros. It's a concept with the best of intentions but because of the potential for abuse it isn't likely to happen.

Round 40 seems like a good idea.
As for the points, everybody should have the points they started with returned. Only way this would work.
Actually I agree. That addition is an improvement to my original suggestion. Thanks.

One potential downside would be that experienced high ranked player might be able to trick newbs into calling it a draw so that they don't loose tons of points. By like convincing the newb that the game will go on forever they might agree to a draw when actualy the game could easily be won. I still like the idea.

I'd be interested to see the idea develop more but I doubt something like this will be added. There used to be a resign option which was removed because people would drop games too early so they could start new ones (freemiums especially). I realize this is a slightly different suggestion, but "agree to draw" would end a lot of games prematurely without the consequences of actual war and battle which is the designed game.
I understand there are a lot of games that turn into stalemates. They suck and we all know it. But the onus is on the individual players to prevent games from stalemating, and if all players have the appropriate mindset even the most boring no cards game can become lively.

Ipersonally think that this is not a good idea as it could be misused in way where if you play games say a 3 player with 1 of your mates u could well be tempted to gang up on other opponent knock him out then give in to the draw to split his points with mate.In some games like an 8 player where you would have to haveb played well to get into the position to look at the draw it would be viable especially like a game i have where its over 150 rounds and 5 players are gone and 3 of us are getting same armies and going nowhere.we know whoever attacks 1st will lose and dividing points id good rather than waste a hard fought game to no fair outcome as someone has 2 throw it in.

How The Hell Do You "Split" Points...
If I'm In A Game With 2 Cooks And I Win I'll Gain Around 10 Points...
If One Of Them Wins I'll Lose 50-70 Points...
And Be Careful How You Respond To This Post... As You May End Up Looking Foolish With A Foolish Answer...

Well averaging the points would still help your case, even if it causes you to lose points. Let's say your options are win 10 points or lose 70 points. Agreeing to a draw would mean that you lose 30 points. Sure it is a loss, but it is the average of the two possible outcomes, and therefore a logical result of agreeing to a draw.

Yes, the option to drop/surrender/quit/forfeit has been suggested and rejected many times.
The real truth is that when a game is surely over it usually ends within a day or two anyway so this feature would not save a lot of time. What it does do is rob the victor of the thrill of victory and therefore cheapen the act of winning. Additionally, it is highly prone to abuse as seen in the days when a surrender button actually existed on this site.
Concede Button

I think there should be a concede button...meaning you can concede the match if you want. This would be really helpful to non-member users as is it would quicken the pace at which games can be played. Plus sometimes when you know youre gonna lose its just freaking annoying waiting for hours just for people to beat you. What'd you think?

Every few months someone suggests this. The problem is obvious.
1. You can make a multi and have him concede to you in 50 games and gain a ton of points.
2. You ask your buddy to concede to you in 50 games. (At least now your buddy has to play out 50 doodle games if he wants to dump his points on you)
3. If you want to point dump you can make 50 games and concede. This last one is a problem because you can point dump down to 100 points and then double with your buddy and he gets a good player for only 100 points added to team score.
All of these come down to some form of point dumping.
4. Someone gets into your account and concedes all your games.
5. Accidentally conceding.

perhaps not allow the concede option unless you are below (say) 10 per cent might be a fair compromise, and the effect of taking it would just autoskip the person who took the option, in the same way as missing a turn would, without the 24 hour wait
