Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
Well, after being really certain derfderf was cult I am a little hesitant now, but stroop does look really scummy, but he has had an explanation for everything. First there are cult tools found in his house and he has been on 3/4 of the major bandwagons and then the blue cult bodyguard (which based on the name, seems to be a role designed to take hits for important cult people) took a hit for him. Then after suspect unveiled this information, he was killed right as he was leading a charge against stroop. That to me looks scummy, but he claims to have a convinent excusse for all of these things.
Also, stroop, why would the blue pshycologist , or any pshycologist for that matter, not want to claim?

Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
I wasn't asking you, I have already heard your response, I was asking norse.Stroop wrote:You keep asking that, but I provided a reasonable explanation.
Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
The answer he has given is that the blue psycologist would be a target and that the psycologists have probably been recruited by one or another cult by this point.captainwalrus wrote:Also, stroop, why would the blue pshycologist , or any pshycologist for that matter, not want to claim?
Whether you believe this is up to you.

Here was my thought on this.
The bodyguard is a sacrificial role, whomever the bodyguard is/was protecting would almost certainly be lynched next. Having him guard your leader would only guarentee that your leader is lynched. So MAYBE the bodyguard would be sent to guard a nobody, or even a townie in order to throw suspicion onto them. That would also cause town to lose a good lynch, since they would lynch the wrong person.
Does anyone agree with that?

I do suspect you to be blue cult, based on your own voting record. I don't see how anyone could have been certain about derf... I don't play mafia games and even I could figure it out.
This may be bad because maybe you are town.
True that.captainwalrus wrote:Also, stroop, why would the blue pshycologist , or any pshycologist for that matter, not want to claim?

spiesr wrote:So you think that stroop is a cult member but possibly not the leader because the cult is sacrificing him? So you don't actually agree with norse despite that you said you did. How would the cult choose to sacrifice him? Remember that we found him out because suspect tried to kill him last night, but he was saved the the cult bodyguard. It looks to me that the cult was trying to keep him alive. The Fuzzy Pengui wrote:Agreed. That's why I haven't voted for him yet. I fear they may just be throwing the first "unimportant" person they could under the bus to save the rest of their cult and be able to win. I could vote stroop if the rest of the town would like, but I'd rather be 100% sure it's the leader instead of allowing them to recruit somebody else tonight.
No, I was agreeing with the part I quoted, not his whole idea. Sorry for the confusion there. The bodyguard part is confusing, but is a bodyguard set to protect the leader or somebody of their choosing? And what exactly is the "redirector" that i've heard people talk of? Does it just take one person's power and give it to another, or does it take actions performed against somebody and perform them on somebody else. The cult artifacts seems pretty cut and dry, unless it's possible they could have been planted? I don't know if that's possible or not, but that's why I'm skeptical about voting. If you can clear those up then I'll probably vote stroop.

Is the psycologist unrecrutable? If not I understand not wanting to claim. You seem to have a good defence lined up so, I will unvote. for now, but I am still suspicious.

Just to make sure, he is not unrecruitable (meaning he can be recruited), or he is unrecruitable?

I can be recruited by any cult.

Then what is to say that right after you claimed blue recruited you? You seem like a valuable asset to the blue cult.

I would guess that the blue psychologist was smart enough to protect me from recruitment.
Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
Can we get some prods/replacements please and a deadline set..
This is going nowhere.

Provided that there is such a role...
Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
Yeah, this game is seriously slowing and may very well need a deadline.
For those saying we should not lynch stroop, who do you think we should lynch? captainwalrus? nagerous? myself? juan?
The evidence against stroop has been laid out. His arguments against it have as well. He is either cult or he isn't. We will either lynch him or we won't.
In theory we could let stroop go to night and have ace try to kill him. If stroop is the leader and we do that then tomarrow will probably 4 and 4. Does the cult win then or do they need a majority. If they need a majority and stroop is the leader we could in theory win if we get all the other lynches right. But if stroop is not the leader we would lose, even if he is another cult member.
Our only real shot appears to be a successful lynch to day.

Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
Wait a sec, SPIESR, Nag.... seems like their is good reason for me to suspect that one of you did that, since you were online in between Natewolfman's posts.....
Spiesr, Nag, and Walrus are the three that I suspect to be blue. Well there was Haggis too, but he died already. It prolly was either Nag or Speisr who killed suspect. Those two were online in between Natewolfman's posts. I was too, but I know I didn't do it. Plus, they voted for Derf.
spiesr wrote:Our only real shot appears to be a successful lynch to day.
Which is why I won't vote until I'm absolutly certain it's the best move.
As far as I'm concerned right now Stroop is the better lynch. Suspect made that clear. But I still have this burning bewilderment as to why things have been happening the way they have... why vote for their own leader, and with the vote for Derf too... ? I just don't follow.

Why would a cult member vote for thier own leader? Because they want to appear as town.Juan_Bottom wrote:But I still have this burning bewilderment as to why things have been happening the way they have... why vote for their own leader, and with the vote for Derf too... ? I just don't follow.

Perhaps, the people who voted for derfderf legitimately thought that he was cult! Ever think of that? Well, at least I did. I'm sure some cult members voted for him cause he was town, but I didn't.

Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
Were all screwed if he isn't cult. I'm going to atke a little bit longer to lynch, to see if anyone can support his claim.
Re: War of the Triple Cult (Day 5)
The only ones who could support his claim would be the "other psycologists" and if they haven't come forward yet, they aren't going to.captainwalrus wrote:Were all screwed if he isn't cult. I'm going to atke a little bit longer to lynch, to see if anyone can support his claim.
