Good case and Aladdin is now soft defending him so that will do me.

Can we instead go past the deadline for mass modkilling? I would rather that happens sooner rather than later.
15. No majority at deadline will result in No Lynch, and all players who not voted dead.

This is the rule, sausage will be lynched without 14 votes by my interpretation at the moment.

No way to let pass the deadline. We learn much more from a good lynch than from a No lynch, and a massive modkill will eliminate most likely townies, as is easy to assume mafia is playing with orchestrated votes.

The question now is to see if Whatsausage is a good lynch or not. In case not, then to find a better one. I was reluctant at the begining, but his claim now makes me lean to think that he can be mafia motivated.

About this, I have a quesiton for @slash: why do you think that decreasing the vote threshold is a townish movement? mafia plays as a group, whereas town play disorganized, so by reducing the threshold to lynch is easier for mafia to get town lynched. Do you really think it is the other way around? can you elaborate?

Can we do something about madmitch? I mean, somebody thinks that their rol is associated to a bomb, a explosion or the sort?

hmm well that makes things confusing... the reduced votes at the start probably was helpful considering there were a lot of ppl not posting anything we may have struggled to get to the 15... not really sure about the choice of todays power though.... if we keep sausage around well then we could have say in to what effects take place which seems like a good thing for us (if he does something that goes against the plan then we lynch) plus there is a chance that he may get killed anyway so im still deciding on it... but i will definitely have to vote soon

You post enough to get an easy read without testing. Rage hasnt been particularly active so I set a test, he passed.

While I implore everyone to test everyone constantly to see if they're scum or not, I'm afraid that the amount of participation I'm sporting right now is how I will do throughout the game. I don't seem to have as much leasure time as some, unfortunately.

Iron Butterfly wrote:Wing wrote "Note that Sausage didnt claim town, so Benga's investigation that Sausage is Anti Town stands up. IB is it possible that Sausage is third party based on the exact phrasing of your investigation result? (potentially survivor by the sounds of it.)"

Very much so. My result was quite specific with no room for interpretation.

"The Magic 8 ball say's....Town"

This seems contradictory... Am I reading this wrongly or are you saying that it is indeed possible that he is 3rd party only to say that the magic 8-ball says he's town and not 3rd party?

StorrZerg wrote:whatsausage recruited by cult possible....

100% killing him if he doesn't out what is going on with that

I'd agree. Moreover, I like your case, but I don't want to quote it. Moreover, have I missed Sausage disclosing the members of the "telecom" (or whatever it was)?

the white rose wrote:night actions are just that, actions that you send in, the mods get them all together and produce a night scene.

All this hinges on you knowing how the night actions work in this game. You're not the mod.

Whatsausage wrote:D2, I wanted to have a little fun with my role I'll admit. This may not have been the most pro-town move.

This is another problem I'm having with Sausage at the moment. While I don't necessarily think that the D1 rule was bad for town, the D2 rule seems mayhem to me.

@Sausage, to whom are you talking during night? Who's on the telecom?

StorrZerg wrote:again, reducing # of votes needed to lynch, will NEVER be beneficial to town, it only accelerates the game in favor of mafia. (in the sense that they can win earlier, because they can reach majority sooner)

I have to disagree with that. Anyone who has played a large mafia game knows that town being unable to lynch because of numbers is a HUGE problem that has ruined many, many games.
Might not be a problem in this game particularly though, since streaker plans on eliminating all stranglers, but I can see Whatsausage's actions in a pro-town light. Whether that is benevolence or subtly is to be seen though.

I can't unvote, but I think we need to determine exactly how useful Whatsausage can be before it's too late. Like could we have some sort of power tomorrow perhaps? Like an investigation or a day vig? Those might be a bit too OP, but maybe something subtly beneficial, like "Whoever hammers gets their role revealed", or something.

you are wrong. about almost everything in this post.... Having a higher amount needed to vote, forces more opinions on votes. As long as I'm in the game, a lynch can be possible. You may have had problems in the past getting lynches to happen, that is the fault of the players inexperience and laziness. That can be dealt with by playing the game. This is the only power that you could see any light on. His Other made up power, had no good effect on town.

Which brings that to what he can do. I doubt he can preform any investigation of any kind, he can simply manipulate voting. secondly, he would have done something like that if he was town.

So you'd rather end the day, and have people mod killed... (seems like at least a few who haven't voted yet) And let whatsausage respond lol?

that seems on the face of it, sensible.

however, can we find an effect that would benefit town enough to keep sausage in the game?

and remember any effect has to be approved by the mods, sausage could just say the effect that we wanted was not allowed by the mods.

we could try, worst case is we delay the sausage lynch till tomorrow. But can you suggest a suitable effect?

That was another thought I had he could just say that the effect was in place or wasn't approved and if its only regarding votes that he can play with I think I am leaning more towards the lynch so we can at least see what's going on with the ball and benga

I think this was even sausage's main reason for adding that rule. I think he said something along the lines of less people being modkilled if the first vote just stuck because if you unvoted...yada yada. Something along those lines. I don't know how much it alters. If you don't want to die, you vote. Simple enough.

There will still be a lynch I think, unless I have interprted wrong.

How can you know how many absent players there are per faction? This is rhetorical as I dont think you are town.

Absent players will hurt their faction whenever they are removed, the earlier the better.

The modkill is only if there is no lynch, and there's no way that will happen with everyone having two votes. Even if it did. It would be ridiculous for the mods to kill people with only one vote.

@WhatSausage - do you know the alignment of the other members of telecom?

I don't tink we shood be too hard on Sausage for the powers he has chosen so far - prob just a case of not tinking thru the implikations, or the posibilities for pro-Town. And I am inklined to believe the gist of his Sleeping God claim

Mod note: last wave of reminders has been sent out to the least inactive bunch of players. If no reply or increased activity, expect them to die in excruciating ways by the end of D2.
