Get a friend (or enemy) to babysit you account. Change your password to a temp password. Give the temp password to your babysitter. Have the babysitter enter your games and play for you -- after identifying that they are babysitting.

Make a friend. Ask an enemy. Ask a stranger. Take a chance, they might play better than you, and they can't do worse that suiciding or punting. Just make sure that whomever you pick is not playing in the pertinent games.

I could watch your turns, but I'm not a big fan of doubles or 1v1 games (and you have a lot of both).

If you can't find anyone else, send me a PM. I can cover it for you.

Firstly, drop all your games waiting now.

If you know you are going on vacation, then there is no point in having any more games start, is there?

Secondly, get an account sitter like mentioned above.

Game 4012514 if you keep playing them like this, i dont think youll impress too many people anyways

and the main reason behind not having a surrender button is because people will join a bunch of games, and then surrender a bunch in a row making cheating very easy... im not saying anyone of your caliber would ever do that... but...

[b]Concise description:[add a Resign option]
[

Well sometimes, as a freemium, I'm getting stuck in a totally lost game, and I realy appreciate that tiny slot opne, because, 4 games at the time is so few. A resign button could allow us to get ut of a nonsenes games, and take advantage of that slot, in a better way

This option used to be on the site but was removed due to abuse. There are MANY other threads already on this topic.

My suggestion: Purchase Premium.

surrender option

Post by kilrain »

There should be an option to surrender or retire from a game. If the idea has been rejected before, I would like to know a good reason why. Going all out is not a reasonable option because then your territories can be taken over much easier.

It would be just like if you missed 3 turns in a row, your lands would become neutral and play would continue as normal. You wouldnt be slowing the game down, you would be speeding it up.

I believe it is morally sound and honorable to know when you are and to admit defeat. I would enjoy someone surrendering to me rather than dragging out the inevitable

I think there has been concern that by making it so easy to drop a game folks would do it casually and screw games up - in a tight game I'd hate to see one opponent leave and throw off the delicate balance. It could also be used to leave games intentionally and hand points to friends/multies. :x

I'd rather see an option that allows all players to mutually agree to end a game in a point-neutral manner, thus bringing an end to the endless, 1000+ army build-up games that nobody wants to lose, but nobody will ever win.

Agreed - sometimes games are over but it takes a day or two to mop up. But we'd need a solution that couldn't be manipulated. (I've been known to just attack neutrals.)

To read more on this subject, use the search option as it has already been discussed at length.

For whatever reason, many people get a curious satisfaction by taking unfair advantage of others who play games online and it is unfortunate that a surrender/resign option will be abused by people who are more interested in the scoreboard than actually playing competitive games.

Suggestion: SURRENDER BUTTON [Previously Rejected]

Post by Gravityfailure »

Only in Standar games, more than 4 players , after "X" turns and placed in the Game Menu ( if you get drunk you dont want to push it button by accident right )

Thank you for taking the time to read this

Long ago, we had a surrender button, but this was removed because it encouraged poor sportsmanship and took away much of the fun and satisfaction of taking out someone's last territory.

So for now, we will continue to persist without a surrender button.

I think that it could be a good option but with a stipukation or 2
perhaps using this option would have to cost some points therefore making it less likely that people would abuse it.
or making it so that everyplayer gets a limited number of surrenders to use durin a certain timeframe.

The idea of a button of surender is not a bad idea but that to put back his troop to another player, that is not it a good idea.

On the other hand as another player said: we lose the pleasure if all abandon of in bad dices or by despair.

Sure left where I did not believe in my chances taught me that it was possible to win then why to stop when everything is possible.

An option of stake in vacancy would be better if that player can not play his games. But if you do taht, you have to stop playing for a minimum of days and all your territories came back to neutral player with tree armies on it.

It is a bad idea, in a simple sense. It doesn't matter what penalties you put on it, because it can ALWAYS be abused. Someone can create a multi, make 4 games, surrender them all to their main account, never get back on, person gets easy points, rinse and repeat.

I agree with this one. Surrender wasn't in risk, and it should be part of another game, not cc.

Well actually, there was. It was the "nuke" option, where you slammed your fists down on the board, as hard as you could, and shouted "Man, you been nuked!!" World destroyed. gg

If all the SURRENDER BUTTOM THREADS are not merged into one bulbous wad,
there is a search buttom that can help you find all the prior discussions.

But let me answer please to another player that was laughing about this

IF we can get divorce , we can leave our job, we can surrender in front of any silly circunstances of our life because or we are too pussillanimous or we are soo stupids or better to think that we just have the right to and it is the right thing to do why then, do not have a surrender silly button in a game ..
We cannot control the multis but we can control a button right..right?
or you cannot control the button flush of your toilet may i ask ...
I dont consider myself as an ignorant person , certanly not a mediocre one and less a pussillanimous. Sometimes I win others not, sometimes i play so damn good and another ones I just mess up and sometimes I want to surrender without deadbeat making the game so long for the other ones...just think about..

too many pussy on this site to implement it though...
