The first six Sweet 16 matchups are out through map 3s now, and the NIT Final Four has also started.

GREAT tourney flex !! Really enjoyed the games, the reviews and data. Well organised - a true pleasure.
Whilst I don't follow college BBALL, am glad that I gave New Mexico an opportunity to shine.
Good luck all

In other action, #13 Duke beat #1 Kentucky in the Sweet 16, winning on the BeNeLux map by a 44-35 score. Congrats to Bones!!!

thanks guys...hope to see a bunch of you return for the 2009-'10 season

Ughh...my poor Vikings got throttled today, but at least we have Cleveland State (Vikings) to root for, still. Go mid-majors!!!

Siena also lives to see another day, and don't forget Dayton! Meanwhile Vermont is playing in the quarterfinals of the CBI Monday night against Oregon State (I figure a day with UVM basketball going on is a good day). In regards to our March Madness, Vermont is still waiting for Tennessee to take the court, in hopes of joining A-10 ally Umass in the elite 8.

Two more into the Elite 8 with #1 UCLA and #3 Florida each advancing.
The other early-round games are moving toward a finish, so once we get all of the Sweet 16 matches set up, I'll proceed with other available games as well.
So far, we have one Elite 8 battle set and it should be a good one
#1 Villanova (25-11) vs. #3 Florida (24-11) to see who emerges from the Northeast bracket.

Either your pick or your darkhorse will make it out of the Northeast and I believe your upset pick won also. Not bad at those predictions Flex...

Tennessee knocks off Vermont in the sweet 16 to advance to the Elite 8 in a clean sweep (4505437 and 4511518). Reached for comment after the game Coach Ricrem noted that although he was saddened by his team's defeat, he thought they had left it all on the floor today and that "It just wasn't in the cards." He continued to go on that he thought his team had a good chance for the win but missing some open jumpers (easy attacks) and shot clock violations (a couple of turns without picking up cards) really hurt. Overall though he said that he was proud of his team's performance this season, and is hoping that his contract will be extended to next season. When asked what he was going to do in the meantime until the season starts anew he mentioned drinking, as well as he had several other coaching gigs in the works. When this reporter scoffed, Ricrem indicated that he was serious and that, "I'm going to lead the N.J. Devils to a Stanley Cup title."
