Getting back to the point, I liked posting in Flame Wars about players who really pissed me off, especially poor sports and sore losers who add you to their foe list because their frail egos can't take losing more than 25 points. Now I've got no where to vent on CC, I have to take my rage to The Furnace at POA(Pile Of Awesome).

In fact, I don't troll at all. No warnings, no punishments, no nothing.

Come on, Flamers! Give up your whining and just let us, the majority of CC members, bask in our victory -- the victory of civility.

Seems like you ARE trolling all the flame war threads. Are you caught in the web of hypocrisy again? There are all these other threads but you happen to speed post in all the FW ones. If you truly did win, then why do you find it necessary to post in the few FW threads? Are you trolling? hmmmmm :-k

Removing Flame Wars was probably for the best.

Simple as.

Nice, as Klobber says, to see that I'm on the "winning team" this time.

Klobber, needs to stop trolling and acting as if our opinions don't matter. This is rude and his constant badgering of those with other opinions is becoming abusive.

The administrators are turning a "blind eye" on abusive behaviour by those who are seeking revenge, due to them being brutalized by former posters of FLAME WARS. At the time we played by the rules and now that the rules have change about FLAMING, the anti-FLAMERS aka victims and casualities of the "CREAM of the FLAMERS" have made a joke of the new rules.

Where's the justice?

Oh, wait a minute, this is a private enterprise, so the rules don't have to apply equally to ALL.

Trolling of topics ad nauseam is indeed something to refrain from, and such friendly warnings have been sent out. ;)

General Stoneham---I think you are misinterpreting our dear friend Klobber's intent, since you were not around posting during the majority of his activity. For those familiar with Major League Baseball, I'll make a parallel as I see it. Klobber is being Klobber, just as Manny Ramirez is being Manny. ;)

Weren't you the person who had a 6 month ban up until February?

I think it's hilarious to watch all the FW victims rallying together. I think most of the people are glad FWs is gone, and to tell you the truth, i'm not completely sad about it either. But FWs leaving has really gotten rid of some of CC's character. FWs was something that made CC different from most websites, it was a place where you could get people's open opinions, and that's what made it great.

Anyway, has a verdict ever been reached about whether FWs could be put into a clan or something? I think that's probably the only thing that could be debated. Are the mods planning to do anything about the Tavernside Fire, or can that flame clan stay?

Yes a decision was reached and the thought police decided that all flaming is to be removed from CC.

CALLING ALL FLAMERS!

In simple response : No.

I'm glad that all the "flamers" are being consistently outvoted on all of these polls.

Ironically this is trolling. And baiting. And rude. Rude doesn't have to include profanity.

And Prowler was only being Prowler. Am I to take it that I cannot behave the same way as people in FW since it was removed, but can behave the same way as Klobber as this is being tolerated?

So...the administrators are letting a troll, be a troll.

Yep, I guess that's fair.

Apparently the anti-FLAMERS need all the protection they can get. C.C. administrators are giving their brown-nosers the green light to harrass the pro-FLAMERS. Since, these pansies can't debate on the same level playing field.

OK, baiting owenshooter because of his race is beyond the line of decency. If the mods don't address this, I will file an e-ticket. You guys are way out of limits now.

Here's anther fine example of the anti-FLAMERS asking for help from the administrators.

Guess what? The administrators closed the thread.

The collusion between the C.C. administrators and their anti-FLAME WAR thugs is bordering on the ridiculous.

The anti-Flamers cry and C.C. police come to their rescue, but the posters who want to continue their discussions on FLAME WARS receive warnings and banning.

Yep, it's fair.

Hey, i don't normally visit the forums here anymore; never really liked the way they were run.

But why was flame wars deleted? I'm sorry if this seems noobish or w/ever, I don't really care. But I would like to know why it was deleted? What was the rational reason for it?

I really do hope it wasn't because a few people got offended, and whined. That would make me very sad.

They won't admit it publicly....but that is the real reason.

What is really interesting is that back when Flame Wars was a nasty place...say, back in 2007/early 2008....the mods and admin had no problem with Flame Wars. Since then, it became quite a nice place to visit. Nobody really got angry...there were a lot of harmless jokes and pretty ridiculous stuff....but nothing really nasty. Nothing really mean-spirited. And that's when they decided to kill Flame Wars. Really questionable timing.

What I want to know is...did anyone notice that Dancing Mustard didn't return after his ban was over for a while when Flame Wars was still around? But he has been seen in other forums since. And he didn't say anything about Flame Wars. Hmmm. Pretty suspicious.

Are you the same person complaining of "insults" in game chat????

I think DM just realized he had a larger vocabulary and that FW was limiting his freedom to express himsel adequately.

No. In fact I don't really give a shit what people say to me.

And that's really sad that a few complained, and it was taken away. I was looking for it to bitch about dice, and rant. A healthy thing to do. If we can get a few users to complain behind closed doors about how there are X-Type of people on the forums, will they be banned, too?

Haha! Do you really believe that!?!? It's because he was losing support and couldn't handle it when he didn't have a large number of people backing him in every discussion.

He started a Flame Wars clan. He started other Flame Wars sites. He desperately tried/tries to recreate his glory days of Flame Wars.

I really miss him.
