Re: Lord of the Rings Map
I believe i could challange u for being the biggest fan of tlotr. I also thing that the map should stay the same. If u copy the actual map there could be copy right infringments. the map has to be at least 30% different to make it different unless lack has some agreement with jr tolken.
I would hate to see the map lost over trying to make it exact.

Revamp of the middle earth map is in no way necessary...

Re: Middle Earth Revamp
sniffy... if you knew anything about copyrights, you'd know the map can't be exact...

No, that is wrong.
Doing this would encourage different discussion on a completely different topic.
The OP is talking about making a new map of lord of the rings, and is not refering the the current Middle Earth map.

Middle-earth map?
There is an actuall board game version of the Middle-earth map... it would be nice but i understand copyright is in issue. still, it would be sweet.
Re: Middle-earth map?
We did have one, but it got shot down because of copyright. The Centerscape map took it's place (Same gameplay different graphics and names)

centerscape is also currently undergoing a revamp competition. go look in the main foundry and vote for your favorite. a couple of the maps look similar to the old middle earth, but one isn't even close, who knows which you'll like

Lord of the Rings
I think this is pretty obvious, so i don't know why no one has created a map for this yet? I feel this would be very fun to play on, and probably very popular as well! Or did I miss it in the map selection area?

Re: Lord of the Rings
There was a Middle Earth map, but because of copyright it was taken down along with the classic map. It is now "Centerscape," which had a recently finished competition to find a new map which [player]RjBeals[/player] won. There's more info in the thread.

Middle Earth
A map of Middle Earth would be amazing. I seem to remember seeing a Lord of the Rings Risk somewhere, so maybe the map is out there somewhere that could be tweaked somehow?

Re: Middle Earth
well if you're not a multi...
we had a middle earth map that was a variation of the lord of the rings risk map. it was great
hasbro acted like a bunch of corporate capitalistic brats, we took it down to avoid getting shut down or whatever
it got turned into centerscape. centerscape looked like a pile of shit.
there was a competition to revamp centerscape and make it into a map that has a similar feel to middle earth with the exact same gameplay. check that thread. it is in the main foundry
