Due to...ahem....technical difficulties....there was an error in tallying up the points for Group 1, which has resulted in wmlawman advancing to Round 2 in place of japser_be.

Sorry for the confusion, hopefully this is all sorted now and we can get the next round rolling

So when does the next round start?

Just got everyone's replies this morning, so I sent out another message detailing an issue Highlander Attack brought up. If it is resolved/decided to be left alone, we can start immediately.

The problem with an honour rules type game, especially for tournaments, is that it is far too easy to break the rules. As I understand the issue, if Player A breaks Player B's bonus while infracting the rule, it sets Player B back quite a way, and sets up Player C in a better position.

So if somebody blatantly and obviously breaks the rule, I suggest we restart the game with the infracting player removed (eg - a 3 player game instead of 4). The rule-breaker still gets zero, and it resets the remaining players chances of winning.

I would modify this somewhat. We don't want to restart games at a drop of the hat with such a rigid rule. It should be a collective decision of the remaining players, hopefully with some deference to the player who was attacked.

But I do agree that this time around, any rule breaking nets you a zero. Round 2 = means more vigilance.

I definitely agree with that. We've all played at least 4 games with these rules now, and we all know what we signed up for. We all should be able to not break the rules.

How about this? If someone loses a continent, all of the other players agree to start their turns, but then run out of time before they deploy, the one person can take their continent back, then, after this has gone through everyone, people take their turns again (but I am not sure how to handle spoils).

I think this would be the best solution....however, it would be extremely difficult to implement....

I know you're all getting a bit impatient to just get on with it, so if no one objects, we could make this "official policy," or we could just ask each group how they want to deal with each case

In any event, expect games being sent out within a day or two, just so we can give this a bit more time to get sorted out.

I think were all adults. We can negotiate within the game a fair redresss. If not you can adjudicate!

All right! That's finishes off Round 2. I will have everything updated tomorrow (the end of the week at the very latest) I expect. Right now I've got to study for APs

Our group did fantastic following the rules. I think we had one person make a mistake and it was so minor I know I didnt even notice it--oh yea-because I was already out of that game. Anyway, I think everyone in our group really had the hang of it.

Update the main thread to round 2 or round 3 actually--It still says round one
