And as for border color...perhaps a simple black would be nice...and give the sea a 'light gray' or 'light blue gray' tint, to help look like that part is actually finished.

that would make it look 10x better

1. Why did you remove North Africa-Italy connection? What was the reason?
2. I noticed that under the Alps, in the Holy Roman Empire territory, there is still painted the red arrow you used some time ago to make one way borders between North Italy and Holy Roman Empire! Shouldn't it be removed?

good points
- i will change the silver borders to black
- having problems with the sea - can't change without causing a problem with work done - anyone want to take it over and make look more professional?
- i agree Mongul are stonger, however i still reckon the emirates are the best strategically as you get 5 armies (with holy lands) - therefore the border between the two will attact a few battles - likewise monguls borders to the north is with the pagans, the easiest to hold - i.e the monguls will get it from both directions
- all this helps bring the catholics more into the game also - previously not as strong
- there seems to be strategies for everyone now
- in addition i thought it would be best to not have connectivity in the middle of the map - played canada recently and liked that
- not sure waht lupo is referring to - no arrows on this map
- the only thing i was debating was to havethe border between Baghdad and Kublai removed - any views - would make emirates easier

Nice map
The german sea should be the north sea or nordsae as it had little to do with the germans

any comments...
Scandanavia is Christian by this point, Novogorod is Orthodox and I don't think there is such a thing as the Roman Sultanate at this point but I might be wrong.

Um, wasn't the Holy Roman Empire founded by the Franks? You could just call them the frech.

I believe it was more German than French, especially in the later stages of its history.

I'm not at all keen on the grey borders. Apart from that it looks good.
edit: Although can I ask where you sourced the Mongol names from? Might be worth taking a look at my Mongol Empire map.

I can read -ROMAN SULTANATE NOT SULTUNATE
i find a map of Religions of Europe: 1100-1200 A.D.
if you try to create religion map try to be acurate

I don't know what your trying to prove Qwert but at this time the SultAnate of Rum contained a large percentage of both greek orthodox and muslims, so I guess he's making a balanced decision for playability. Anyway, the map-maker hasn't posted in a while so its a silly argument.

Quert - this is the map it was based on - you need to roll on a hundred odd years to when Ghengis arrived
The map is as historically accurate as I can get it based on religions, the map and playability
Mongul names are based on the leaders - he did get as far as Hungary
Any way game on - and let the real arguements over religion commence....

My only problem is that the mongol names are based on (seemingly random) names of leaders whereas all the other names are based on the groups who lived there.
