He had me on his ignore list for some reason back in 2007, but did his little thing at the start of 08 where he emptied his entire ignore list. I played many 8 player escalating freestyle speed games with him, and never was a problem. I didn't even win one of them, as I know he likes to ignore-list people if they win. Well recently I found myself on his intimidation list after I went down to cook. I didn't complain, but eventually I made it back up to Corporal. Just now I Pm'ed him politely letting him know that I was a corporal again. This is what he responded with:
i dont give a shit about rank-- GFY
All of the complaints sum it up. Don't join any games with him and his secret alliance mates, and maybe we should consider getting everyone to put this disease on ignore. People like him bring down the tone of this website. The fact that he's got multi's and secret alliances makes him even more outrageous. Ignore him now and don't turn back.
Whump, you are a convicted cheater who should have been permanently banned ages ago. Why are you trolling in this forum spewing garbage and outrage for something that you condoned at one time if not still do? Do us all a favor, leave the site as I mentioned before and go play with your dolls - this is much more suited for you. As far as ignore lists; if someone places you on their ignore list, they don't need a reason. The mere fact that you were and possibly still are a CHEAT is grounds enough. Now beat it, this topic is for adults unless you have some meaningful information to share. I will take you off my ignore list once you attain Field Marshall - a mere 3,882 more points. There is still hope for you.
You'd better be ready to stand by that statement.

to be honest-- the majority of what's been discussed has no relevance to the original accusation. i mean dandrobie went after aussie so Jan suicided on him- then i get lumped into a secret alliance. i suspected something wasn't right with the game and put Jan on ignore even before seeing this thread. it would be nice if he would come in here and post about the game to denounce that i had any communications with him prior or during the game-- hell if i've ever had a conversation with him period.
stalemate issue should have it's own thread and everyone that has practiced it should be accused-- how am i the scapegoat ?
I don't think that you're the scapegoat and with due respect, if there is anyone who can handle the heat and glamour, it should be you.

*sigh*

Ive played with all 3 of these players and i can ensure that none of them cheat. You're obviously not familiar with 8 player escalating games.

Obviously this secret alliance is the true reason that Scott is such a great rank. I mean his 1000 games of experience haha. Ya, he's just been forming secret alliances with everyone all of the time and using this secret alliance in 8 player games to assure his win!!!
I am so glad someone so brilliant has finally pieced all of these puzzle pieces together. If Scott really had any skill he would do like SkyT and play noob after noob after noob teaming up with his friends who purposely knock their ranks down so he can win more points against the crappiest on CC (I guess everyone has their strategies).
I have a suggestion for scotts secret alliance plot he has going. What he should do is create 8 player private games with all of the best players he knows but have his 2 secret buddies join too and help him get the win. Other players' skill levels dont have anything to do with Scotts freestyle wins, duh!
...the guy who started this thread.... lol thanks for the laughs man... now go play with some cooks where they attack your largest stacks because.... well obviously you were stronger then the other cook with 3 bonuses and 5 cards... and no stacks because he spreads himself thin going for gay ass bonuses in an escalating game... Stupid noobs...

Firstly I am in total agreement with Genghis, I play with many high ranks who would not dream of throwing a game just to save a few points, stupid to make such sweeping generalisations. As for Scott well I have probably been playing against him, and arguing with him, longer than any of you and he is one of the best escalating players ever seen on this site.
He is also overly passionate which often manifests itself in fits of whining and rage, I think this lets him down but if you play him than you must accept the possibility of this happening, lots of us whinge as well when things dont go right !
As for cheating I know that Scott has always despised those that do and in this particular instance I cannot see one jot of evidence to support such an accusation. The issue of settling speed game stalemates is contentious but until we are given the option of stopping a game then I cant see another solution bar suiciding, with ordinary sequential there is the option at least of starting a tiebreak game but with speed games this becomes tricky because of the time factor.

the issue with the speed game stalemates. though it looks dodgy at the moment there is no other option.

I must say I've had an encounter with Jan & Buiz that did seem entirely suspicious.... though I also do kinda like Jan... so meh
http://www.conquerclub.com/game.php?game=1987316
While allowing Buiz to sit next to him without fear of attacking each other threw his 120 man stack into MY 120 stack. Sure enough with nothing left in comes buiz to clear up. Very fishy....

Thought I would put in my two cents on the issue. As for Jan1976 and Buizerd that is pretty clean cut after examining the evidence. Clearly a secret alliance/multi.
As for Scott there I can't say it is cheating, but it is kind of like a recipe for cheating. When going into a game with the notion of helping friends/stronger players to avoid point loss you are setting yourself up an alliance without even knowing it. I'd suggest team games or private games with friends to avoid the complications in the future.
Just my two cents.

Apparently, my joke comment earlier was misunderstood. I wasnt implying Scott cheats at all.
Lets just state the obvious explanation: No Captain is going to go for a kill on another higher ranked player in an 8 player speed game unless there is a 3rd and possibly 4th high ranked player to finish the kill if he fails. Second, lower ranked, inexperienced players tend to focus on bonuses which isolate other players and leaves themselves weak for an elim. All good players know and abuse this knowledge when playing with novices by generally piling up away from the inexperienced getting ready for the kill. If 3 or 4 players are good and all doing this strategy then yes it is going to look like they are alligned, when in actuality they are just waiting for the lower skilled player to make a mistake they can capitalize on.
Generally when the kill move(s) start the other high ranked are watching and can nab that kill while the other novices have all ready ended their turn.
Anyone who still thinks that Captains dont take their opponent ranks into considerations is a moron (my opinion) no captain would choose to lose to a cadet over a Major. However, almost no captain would straight suicide on a lower rank to throw the game but they usually will play to the lower ranked first kill until they are sure they have enough for their equally skilled opponent(s). Bummer for cadets and such but it is the truth.

Are the mods gonna lock this thread, move it (God knows where) or do their bloody job. If your looking into, huddling in groups discucssing it (the usual story), then please let eveyone know here. Espically the accused. Its not fair on them either!

Just like to point out a quick scan threw Buiz & Jan's game history clearly shows they play a lot of doubles games specificly on the Feudal War map. Nothing wrong with that.
But then if you look at all the other speed games they both enter it seems no suprise a large % of the games are won by one or the other player.
In numerous games they find each other yet decide not to kill each other and simply leave their borders alone. Which again is understandable... On a feudal game if the guy your attacking has similar sized armies throwing yourself into him is clearly suicide.......... so it makes sense they dont do it.
Yet they WILL do it if they find one of the other players

Then leaving a nice gifted game for the other one.
Anyways the mod's aren't stupid, It's up to them to investigate now.

This has been a long thread. The report on these three accounts arose because of what was said in the game chat? If there was even a hint that they had an unannounced alliance in the game chat, that would not be enough. Although, upon checking their game history, they have played a lot together and most likely are already familiar with each other. They are certainly not multi accounts with each other and a lot has been said in this thread which holds merit.
They do not appear to have a secret alliance in this game but because of their game histories together, this report is still noted.

Could you please elaborate on 'game histories' ? If it's the amount of games that we've played together then, let me give you a list of players that I have game histories with and you can note those 100 players as well. From reading your ruling, there are certainly a lot of gray area..... [do not appear] and [most likely are already familiar] is not a ruling. The only definite response is [certainly not multi accounts].... thank goodness you came to that conclusion ! I expect that if you can not find anything wrong with my game conduct outside of being an ass then you clear my name of any and all accusations.

You are cleared of having a secret alliance in this game. If that is still not clear to you, then I can no longer clear you from that.

So what is [noted] ? Anyone that starts a thread accusing another player gets noted regardless of guilt or innocence ?

You are cleared for this game. But not all reports can be cleared 100% as simple as that. There are games that I find questionable, but can also be argumentative and subjective. This report is noted because of the game histories and posts that could not just be ignored. It shall remain noted.
