first post updated - i am awaiting news on midkemia, but assuming that is left out in time this will be a 62 map tournament

now that the new maps are in live play *yipee*, I have applied for privs. and this should be starting very, very soon.

I have got my privileges and all the new maps are up and running so all games will be pmed to players tomorrow at the latest.

In the mean time the first round draw has been posted on page one. As we only have 61 competitors the top 3 seeds all get byes into round 2.

That draw has thrown up some interesting encounters:

Cairns Coral Coast v Carribean Islands (sounds like someone trying to decide where they are going on holidays)

Crossword v 8 Thoughts (no comment necessary :wink:

)

Age of Might v Madness (unfortunately one of the new maps will have to go after round 1 :cry:

)

Germany v World 2.1 (where did I hear that before ?)

Canada v Circus Max. (battle of the revamps)

midkemia v Classic (cc's newest map takes on cc's oldest one)

etc. etc.

this was a seeded draw - from 1 to 61 based on scores when entering this tournie - so as 20th seed and 45th seed you were always going to meet in the first round when all players are seeded in round 1. If everything went according to seeding you should be knocked out in this round and AA would be knocked out in the next one - but competitions like this rarely go according to what seeding implies. :wink:
