how close were Georgia beating Ireland. 14 - 10 the last 15 minutes Georgia could off had it, if only after sucking them in they went wide they might of scored a try.

Alright, I didn't expect them to lose. I'll give you that.

I would expect them to lose against the Bokke though. :P

Well then - a fine performance from SA! and one that marks them as favourites?? While Poms were terrible (what have the 6 nations been doing for the last four years?) SA showed that they are perhaps not as one dimensional as NZ may think. I would tend to agree that the halfback is the best going around at the moment and the SA backline is working well ( I still cant rate Percy tho!) and the forwards are very solid. SA would seem to have the armchair ride to the later stages - Quarter final against Wales and semi against Argentina would seem likely. Nothing to learn from NZ v Portugal except our dirt trackers can raise a ton. Nice to see the portugese passion during anthems and they got a try! Scotland have indicated that they will be playing B side against NZ this weekend and after that romania - perhaps two more 100's and not much value for AB's. Looks like NZ may get France and Aussie on way to final so plenty of work to do! Aussies look good but still doubt they have the depth in their squad to go all the way. Cant see any northern hemisphere teams threatening at this stage. Go the ABs :D

I wouldn't say we saw any ridiculous sparks of brilliance in the SA game! They didn't have to play at their best. The half back was sensational, but it was a walkover! I was expecting some brilliance from Habana but it never really came! They certainly showed they can play solid rugby, but they'd have to put in a lot of work AND catch the all blacks on a bad day to win the final.

The thing that impressed me the most was our defence & the fact that SA never gave away a penalty in a kickable position.

SA are the only team that i can see beating NZ, unless some team gets lucky & plays out of their socks...we can match them in any part of the field & there is a lot of belief in the SA team & hardly any pressure. NZ always go in as the favourites & they eventually crack. I just hope it lands up as a SA / NZ final

what do you mean Kernal, i`m a Scotland fan. i want England to get beat.

did anyone see Wales v japan last night, a good game that Wales dominated. Japan`s 1st try though, was probably the best of the tourney so far. from the bottom left hand corner to the top right hand corner in 4 passes. incredible.

Can anyone tell me what has happened to Ireland. It is basically the same team that should have won the 6 nations, but they are playing nowhere near their potential. I was hoping that they would put France out.
Oh well!!

and a big hurrah for Scotland. The only home nation performing at the moment.

They'll be ones to watch out for in the future as they basically buy their team though.

well Scotlands *b* side got beat 40 -0 against the all blacks. now Frank Haddon said that the kiwi`s scrum was good but not as good as Italy`s. i hope he was taking the piss, because if Italy`s scrum is as efficient as the All Blacks scrum we are in serious trouble. Scotland has to beat Italy to have any chance of self respect.
