The fire in Fireball whiskey comes from Cinnamon. Cinnamon grows in various countries around the Bay of Bengal including Bangladesh, Burma, Thailand, and others, but the most famous source is Ceylon.

Kodiak is just the Aleuti word for "island". Kodiak Island is just "Island Island", etymologically speaking. Ceylon is an island. We may be on to something here.

"Frozen face" can be a face of someone who is trying too hard to control their emotions. That could lead us anywhere. It can also, however, refer to statues, "faces frozen in stone."

If we go with the Ceylon theory, there are some famous Buddhas and other statues on Ceylon. A particularly grand collection of ancient statuary can be seen at Polonnaruwa, an ancient city once capital of a kingdom. Some of the statues include:

I beg to differ. Both from a gourmand's point of view and from a historical point of view, Ceylon is the place. From a gourmand's point of view, Ceylon cinnamon is vastly superior to other cinnamons. It is definitely the gold standard if you take your palate seriously. From a historian's point of view, the spice immediately brings to mind the Dutch East India Company and its magnificent wars against the Portuguese and later the British, and definitely at Ceylon they were fighting for the cinnamon trade. Nobody cared about the low-grade cinnamon that came from Sumatra and Java. There, the battle was mainly over nutmeg, cloves, saffron, mace, and later coffee.

However, since this is your game I'll abide by your ruling. Since it's not Ceylon, we'll look at Sumatra, where, despite the low quality,60% of the world's cinnamon originates. Price beats quality, I guess.

Looking around Sumatra, I find few really famous statues. Best I can come up with is this bronze Buddha at Si Pamatung temple in Padang Lawas:
