Nissan haveannounced that they will be stopping the production of the Infiti model at Sunderland. A shit car that sold 750 units last year. The production will end in 2020 and the 250 workers on that line will be allocated jobs elsewhere in the plant.
Did you know that Sunderland was the biggest ship building city in the world at one point? They churned out more ships than any other city in the world. Did you also know that the EU gave Sunderland a £45M grant/bribe on the understanding that shipbuilding on the river Wear would cease for 10 years? And the EU destroyed our coal mining industry.

May should play hardball ... only grant residency visas for Europeans on a 1:1 basis. Once you have Poland and Hungary facing the prospect of a million of their cast offs coming home the EU will be more pliable.
