SF @ STL Not as much picking the Niners as I am picking against the Rams
BAL @ BUF
CIN @ CLE

SEA @ HOU
IND @ Jax I don't think I could pick the Jaguars to beat anyone...maybe the Buccs
NYG @ KC

ARI @ TB
NYJ @ TEN Both are 2-1, but the Jets are lucky to be there
PHI @ DEN
WAS @ OAK
DAL @ SD
NE @ ATL New England faces an actual team this week

The Bad Break Jets? Ha ha ha! They could easily be in the 0-3 club but are 2-1 instead and both of their wins were gifts. Week 1, the Buccaneers are guilty of personal foul in the final minute that gives New York a game winning field goal attempt as time expires. Week 2, the Jets bumble along and lose to a bumbling Pats team. Week 3, Buffalo comes all the way back to tie the game late in the 4th Quarter. NY's got nothing going, then on 3rd and long and Geno Smith hits Santonio Holmes with a 69 yard TD pass to squeak past the Bills. The Jets overcame a personal best 20 penalties for 168 yards to pull this off.
The Giants may currently be the worst football team in New York,
but the Jets are still playing ugly and this twist of fate won't last.

I think that Giants vs. Jets would be uglier than the Toilet Bowl we're going to be seeing in London this week.
Re: NFL PICKS: Week 4 ... Niners @ Rams . . . Thursday Night
Jets topped the Giants in preseason 24-21 and only a playoff appearance will allow them to meet again this season. Which couldn't be as ugly as if they were going to play now.
I do anticipate the Giants finishing better than the Jets,
simply because of Eli Manning. Don't know if the G-Guys
can pull it together with bellies full of KC BBQ this week,
and a coach who knows them well across the fifty.
Rock 'em Andy... 4-0 would be way cool.
Rams did give the Niners fits last season, but I'd be shocked
if San Fran doesn't rebound from two convincing loses.
Nawlins hosting Miami should be an excellent game...
but the Saints have Drew Brees and Home Field.
Chicago at Detroit, Dallas at San Diego and New England at Atlanta
are all tossups. Beyond the Bears' scoring defense, I'm impressed
with Jay Cutler so far too and maybe this is his year to shine.

The Jets still have a talented defense and may have an average quarterback (or at least a quarterback that brings a second dimension), that they lacked last year. They have been the victim of bad luck and the Titans have been beneficiaries of good luck. I think you're not giving the Jets enough credit. At the same time, my expectations for the Jets at the beginning of the season could be so low that I'm overvaluing them now. I guess we'll see.

Geno Smith has thrown twice as many interceptions as touchdowns.

I've seen it before but it was a meh call (though Im happy Harbaugh made it because Im going against Dawson in fantasy this week and he lost a point).
Only two kickers who could make that are Prater and Janikowski in Denver.

This week we got the Broncos game as one of our 3 (all of which have their f'n endings cut cause our DVR programming is terrible - ESPN Australia can die, everyone knows NFL matches last FOREVER! anyhoo...).
Even with little experience I have it their offense looks crazy good, that Demaryius Thomas steps like a rugby player, its awesome

Last weeks results were interesting and it's quite possible
you'll have another big day of picks today Loot...
but the Redskins should get off the snide in Oakland.
Didn't realize the Seahawks were missing three O-Line Starters,
the Vikings are starting Matt Cassell in London and Peterson's
already busted out for a long TD..
In Detroit... Stafford, Bush and Megatron are rolling today.
Eli is doing his best in KC and the G-Men have one Salsa Dance
in the end zone after one half.

Well time to face it. Atlanta just isn't that great this year. Even if we come back to win this game, we've played it horribly and really we are very lucky that the game has been this close.

Almost.
Ryan had an amazing deep pass to Jones and then throws 3 bad passes (plus the checkdown to Rodgers).

Condolences to Strike Wolf (and also Houston fans), now you know how Cowboy fans feel. It's still early and though anything can happen, I feel another 8-8 in the works for Dallas. At least the Falcons actually scored points in the second half. Don't really know what Atlanta was thinking there at the end, they didn't have to go for the end zone as a 1st down was still possible in front of the Pat defenders and maybe a few extra chances to score. Steelers and Ravens both had similar finishes with great drives for the winning score in the final minute, only to squander their opportunities with poorly executed plays.
Sorry about jinxing the Bears for you Frigidus.

Re: NFL PICKS: Week 4 ... Niners @ Rams . . . Thursday Night
I unfortunately had to watch the Giants-Chiefs game at 1 PM, but I will say that the one linebacker for the Giants was rather impressive (note - not impressive enough for me to remember his name).
The Eagles-Broncos game was interesting. I thought the Eagles played well in the first half (despite the score) and if the special teams hadn't completely lost its shit, the Eagles could have salvaged a closer score or lead in the first half. By the time the second half rolled out, Peyton had adjusted, the Eagles didn't, and that was that. I will note, further, that the Eagles can't cover anyone (which I knew before the game), so I was wondering why the defense didn't just blitz all the time. When you drop 8 guys and rush 3 and your 8 guys can't cover any one of 3 or 4 receivers for the Broncos, might as well not drop 8 guys. My brother texted me this tidbit - "Every time a receiver catches a pass, there are no Eagles within five yards. How is that even possible?" On the first TD to Welker, I was yelling at the TV as soon as Welker made his break on the out pattern; the Eagles defenders both covered the inside receiver.

Most NFL QBs can shred a defense when there is no pressure
and given extra time all receivers will get open.
Prevent defenses also drive me nuts.

I don't think anyone jinxed the Bears. They almost came back, from a would-be blow out.
